The boots were here when I got home, don't know how they got here but either my dad got them this morning or my neighbour brought them round when he was back later with DS. anyhow I have pretty boots for work now at a bargain price. Less driving than usual this week so hoping to save some money on petrol and driving very slowly cos I'm scared of the ice and snow!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

apparently the boots were sitting on the doorstep when they got home - bloomin M&S - wonder what would have happened if they were stolen????
Thought I'd paid extra off my BC until I remembered that I'd put this months petrol budget on it too hoping that I use much less than I budgetted (I use the same amount in the budget each month but doing less miles in dec).Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

apparently I am the worst mum ever for running DS a bath before half time on the footie - not even team he particulary likes just footie. grrr! santa can see grumpy kids...
after another spreadsheet rejigg after panicking about having to do one of those house survey things now it's all ok again and DFD still unchanged. Shopping budget seems to have disappeared this week not sure why but it may have been asda's 3 bottles of wine for a tenner deal... So many bargains in the shops at the moment that I'm having to constantly refocus my mind on the BIG picture - I want to be DF asap and the pretty dress will not help in this quest!:o

I seem to be winning grumpy mum of the year at the minute and I don't know if it's DS or me. I do think he tries to take the mick sometimes though and then sulks when he's caught out but I shall try to be more tollerant.
Eon have fuffed up again, got a letter last month saying they were changing my DD to what it should have been all along this month but got a letter today saying that they are changing it next month instead - !!!!!!. So still creating a huge debt to them in the meantime, I think I'll be switching again soon...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Why? Is it not just that he's pushing the boundaries and trying to portray you as a grumpy mother because he's found out the allegation bothers you?skint_spice wrote: »Eon have fuffed up again, got a letter last month saying they were changing my DD to what it should have been all along this month but got a letter today saying that they are changing it next month instead - !!!!!!.

Better you have a huge debt to them - and don't pay interest, than you have a huge credit to them - and don't receive interest...skint_spice wrote: »I think I'll be switching again soon...

I don't think he realises it bothers me!:o I think he's just grouchy cos he's not getting out to play much at home or school because it's so rainy and he's obviously just got excess energy, will drag him out for walks at the weekend and tire him out rain or no rain!:D and I'm grouchy because I'm surrounded by adverts making me want to spend money when I have none - now chanting "eight months isn't that long... I know that's true and I've been shoving it towards BC so saving the ridiculous interest there but I just have this terror of them coming back and saying that my DD needs to go up to £150 a month or something! I paid some the other day so thought I'd only be a couple of months behind but they fuffed it up again still it'll just be a bit less towards the debt when it comes in and it won't be before end of December when I'll be rid of BC (fingers crossed).Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Come on...he must do! If only on an instinctive level. He's lived with you for the entirety of his life and if he doesn't know what irritates you, he needs a good slapping for not paying attention...skint_spice wrote: »I think he's just grouchy cos he's not getting out to play much at home or school because it's so rainy
He's not going out in the rain? You should be sending him out...you're a soft mother...skint_spice wrote: »and he's obviously just got excess energy, will drag him out for walks at the weekend and tire him out rain or no rain!:D and I'm grouchy because I'm surrounded by adverts making me want to spend money when I have none - now chanting "eight months isn't that long... Just remember those adverts are there to sell the sizzle, not the steak...
"Remember to buy our expensive cheap plastic tat that was lovingly hand-crafted by child labour in China, and you'll no longer feel like a social inadequate until our next 'you are a social inadequate because you are without our Chinese plastic tat' advert. So what if it does? So long as you keep an eye on it, then threaten them with moving when your balance gets to £0, then you will have made the interest money and will come out on top.skint_spice wrote: »I paid some the other day so thought I'd only be a couple of months behind but they fuffed it up again still it'll just be a bit less towards the debt when it comes in and it won't be before end of December when I'll be rid of BC (fingers crossed).

His father never did! We have had a truce and he's going to stop winding me up and being cheeky and in return I'm going to try to be more tolerant. He's not going out in the rain? You should be sending him out...you're a soft mother....
they aren't allowed to play outside in the rain or on the grass if it's been wet "health and safety". he's still playing footie on it at the weekends in studs but somehow that seems to be ok...You will do it. Have confidence.
That's right, I WILL! :T then the other one is mainly zero percent so can battle that one right down in the new year.

Ah...but his father never lived with you through his formative years. Besides, kids learn more quickly than adults.skint_spice wrote: »We have had a truce and he's going to stop winding me up and being cheeky and in return I'm going to try to be more tolerant.
And Santa might even visit despite your previous dire warnings...skint_spice wrote: »they aren't allowed to play outside in the rain or on the grass if it's been wet "health and safety". he's still playing footie on it at the weekends in studs but somehow that seems to be ok...
Of course it's OK. It's a different kind of wet. It's a weekend wet.
I remember when we had to do PE in the snow. Rather amusing when a football is twice the size it should be because it has picked up so much snow and then someone kicks it and envelops themself in a blizzard. Less amusing when it slams into cold flesh...skint_spice wrote: »That's right, I WILL! :T then the other one is mainly zero percent so can battle that one right down in the new year.
