I may still go for it and it's a very small town so that will give my location away. I've not mentioned where I am on here.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Ah...didn't realise it was in the same town. Thought you were moving away from the area because you didn't like it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

no, it's just this small area of the town I dislike apart from that it's a great town to live in. I want to stay here if poss as my folks are here and while they are helping me at the minute I can see them needing more help from me in a few years time (only me left in this country) and DS is settled at school etc. There's a few towns nearby I might consider but life would be simpler if I stay here.
What are you up to on the housing front? staying put for now?
BTW - Have been piling up stuff for car boot and I'm amazed how much junk I've found already with very little effort.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Staying renting for now - prices have a long way to fall yet.
I use this graph because otherwise inflation obscures too much.
However I might move though - depends on whether I see something nice.
For those firefox users - this plugin is quite helpful.skint_spice wrote: »BTW - Have been piling up stuff for car boot and I'm amazed how much junk I've found already with very little effort.

and now the car boot is off, still hoping to do one either in december or january so I think I'll keep hoarding the "treasure" so it's all ready to go when it's time.
First spending day in 3 days - and only for milk - I'm being ever so good. Pay day tomorrow and I'll take what's left in my purse tomorrow night and stick it in the sealed tin. Monday's the grand opening!
P.S. just made the bacon, pasta, spinach and pinenut thing for dinner and it wasn't the spinach DS was avoiding but the pine nuts! kids!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

PAYDAY!!! not much off the totals as I've bought some clothes and done xmas shopping but it's heading in the right direction.
Guess I'll have to find the old jewellery to make some money in December.
EDIT - forgot the most exciting news of the day....my pigsback piggy bank arrived - it's quite cute actually.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It does say pigsback in big letters though so no good as a gift Bob, I had been thinking I might get one for my niece for jan birthday but maybe not!
Really looking forward to opening my tin on monday and sticking the money towards my credit card, should have been for xmas but most of that is done now so in a way it's just covering the payments I would have made if not shopping.
Freezing up here tonight, shall have to get moving about a bit more I think.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
