No whining today but I am veryboredofbeingathome and wanttobesomewherehot, had yummy dinner of sausages, potatoes and cauliflower cheese and think I'm going to have a wee glass of wine in a mo. Made DS hoover the stairs (with wee cordless hoover) as he's scattered those horrible black pellets that come off the astroturf everywhere - I told him he was either doing more cleaning or more cooking and he chose the cleaning. I'm hoping that if he has to clear the mess up he'll think twice before making it, never worked with his dad but who knows...
Saw mate that I thought might be shattered enough to send me a card without signing it (baby is teething) but she gave me a card today so unless she's really, really exhausted the mystery card is still a mystery.:DMortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

a mystery admirer then?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

who knows, I reckon it's George Clooney harassing me again...I asked him to stop last time as it was just getting embarrassing...by signing it he might implicate himself!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

DS has been rumaging about all night in drawers, under sofas etc and appeared just there with a box (engagement ring size) and a look of relief and shouting "YES!!!!", when he opened it there was a pound coin in it instead of a ring - apparently he hid it a while back so he didn't spend it...:rotfl: :rotfl:Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

sneaky actually as if I'd found a pound under the sofa I would have considered it fair game for the loose change bank but not in a box where it obviously has been stashed by an owner!:D he's just had me bid for him on a particular match attax card on ebay so no doubt it'll be gone soon, ebay not bad for arithmetic practise as you need to work out how much you have then take away postage to work out highest bid...;)Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

actually it's better than that as he has handed over his life savings of £2.20 and it doesn't finish until friday so he may well lose the bidding war!
There's been a distinct lack of change round here lately but DS's dad and my dad will both be about tomorrow so fingers crossed - they both seem to lob a pound or two down the sofa...not sure if it's a sympathy thing...:o
meant to say someone was talking to me about Blackadder and Bob yesterday - I was wondering if it was you in disguise! not a teacher though...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
