Ps3 Error Code 80710723

Options
Hi all,
I,m new to playstation 3 and appear to have a problem. I have tried to update the system but it comes up with error code 80710723 and will not update. I have also bought a new game HAZE which needs updating as well. It gets to 4% and throws up the same error message. Myps3 is new and works on a netgear wireless router. I can get on the internet. CONFUSED. If anyone knows the reason and answer please let me know but please "in words of one syllable" I am not a computer expert.

    Not sure if its the same error code, but I had/have problems updating too.

    I find the best way is to use a hard wired PC (I mean not wireless) to download the update from the PS3 website.

    Then use a memory stick to load it into the PS3 itself.

    Much faster.

    Clicky linky..http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/

    I think my problem is caused by my Virgin connection dropping out every 10 min or so.

    I have them working on it. (well I complain 2 times a week and they say they have fixed it but do NOTHING!!)

    go into your wireless router settings and disable PnP this is whats causing the error

    then re do the setting on your PS3 and it will work

    let me know

    right open up internet explorer and in the address box at the top type in 192.168.1.1 ......or 192.168.0.1 probably the first

    it will then ask you for the username and password unless you have changed them it will be admin for both

    Let me know if this works before i carry on ok mate
