in Water bills
Don't know if anyone has submitted this one yet. Apparently our biggest single user of water is the toilet. I know folks have fitted water-bags, bottles, even bricks to displace some water content in the cistern, but there's a clever little device available which beats all these hands down. You can have a full flush when you need it but it allows one to regulate the flush as required, by simply releasing the handle early, when you consider the pan to be clean. It is called Interflush which is a DIY kit which one fits on the top of the WC cistern siphon. It can only be fitted to conventianal front-mounted lever typr sytems. I've fitted it and it works. It may seem expensive for what is a couple of plastic bits but will probably pay for itself in months!
