    I'm really p***ed off!

I went online and check this offer on 9 local stores. All 9 stores had only 3 of the 4 items on offer!!! All but 1 had the F1 game missing, and the remaining one had the console missing!!! To add to my troubles i still reserved and went in store (one of the 3/4 stores) where i had to cue for 10 minutes to get to the till where a spotty kid told me they couldnt do the offer unless they had all pieces in store. HOW CONVENIENT i thought - that NINE stores have 3 of 4 pieces... sounds like a hoax to me :|

I said to him - cant you order the missing game from the store that has it? he said "no the only way we can do that is picking it up ourselves and we're not insured to do that" - what a load of balony. The best he could do was to increase my reservation for 2 weeks - except the offer expires on wednesday. When i said that to him he said "oh well theres not much i can do then"

I called Argos up. Got through to a woman who basically said "check on monday/tuesday if its in stock otherwise we can't do it"

Is this fair?? is this just?? i think we should boycott argos the satan league.

*i feel a bit better now*

    any suggestions?

I was beginning to think it was a con after checking approx 15 stores in and around the North West. Home delivery not an option as the F1 game was already out of stock. I did eventually find a couple of stores that had all 4 items and chose the one nearest to me.

I've checked my local store this morning, just as a matter of interest and they have all 4 items

Hope you manage to get one. :)
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

And now its being advertised on TV too, great lot of good if they have none. All stores around me have nearly everthing barring F1 05!!

  • I picked mine up from Warrington yesterday and was told I may get a rally game instead of the F1 game - this I actually saw on the screen.

I did get the F1 game, but it may help those who are searching but missing the F1 game.

Hate me for this. I managed then to pick a futher two sets today from Northwich (for friend and sister!). lucky PaStar2d

Finally managed to reserve and pick up my (kids) bundle this morning.

Wife won't let me open it and try it out. Just to make sure it is all working correctly you understand! :o) Have to wait till Christmas :o(

Does anyone have the Eye Toy accessory that plugs into the ps2 and is it worth buying to add to my (kids) fun?

Many thanks to the original poster for an excellent money saver!!!!

I did purchase an eye toy when I bought the PS2 bundle.A friend has one and my kids thought it was great fun when we visited. This was the main thing that my DD wanted to go with the PS2.It also means they can get a bit more physical with the PS2 rather then just sitting on their behinds for hours on end.
  • All,

I was looking for this, so quickly wrote a few geeky scripts to do it for me.
The outcome's not looking favourable - hardly any stores have all four items in stock.

Link's available (but won't last long!) for all to see:

Please wait a few secs for it to load...

    Thanks,

The Eye-toy is fab - bought my hubby a PS2 a couple of years ago and it came with the eye-toy. The games are really good fun for all the family and all ages. Also, recently have discovered that you can also use the Eye-toy as a webcam for your PC - picture quality is really great. Eyetoy as a webcam thread here.

    Good purchase in my opinion.
