I went online and check this offer on 9 local stores. All 9 stores had only 3 of the 4 items on offer!!! All but 1 had the F1 game missing, and the remaining one had the console missing!!! I said to him - cant you order the missing game from the store that has it? he said "no the only way we can do that is picking it up ourselves and we're not insured to do that" - what a load of balony. The best he could do was to increase my reservation for 2 weeks - except the offer expires on wednesday. When i said that to him he said "oh well theres not much i can do then"

I called Argos up. Got through to a woman who basically said "check on monday/tuesday if its in stock otherwise we can't do it"

Is this fair?? is this just?? i think we should boycott argos the satan league.

Can they not give you a (credit note for when the rest of the game etc comes in) if you buy the rest of package?
what part of the country are you?

i have my daughter in Glos driving to Blackpool argos to pick something up for me & i'm in Glasgow......but luckily she is coming to visit,so she can pick it mines up on her way......it must be 1 of the longest distance ring & reserves...lol.....

If you really want it why don't you order online for delivery ?I know it'll cost you £4.95 but if you bump it up to over £100 at least you'll get your £10 voucher to go towards postage.


Edit;I just looked at the site and the F1 game is out of stock for home delivery too.I'm glad I already have mine.

I'm in the south - surrey - I went into Aldershot branch just now and its the same thing.

Bloomin useless.

I went in Woolworths/Game as well to check out prices - basically, if i can't get this deal then it will be £25+ extra (and still not as many extras).

I WISH they would just give me the 3 pieces and a credit note but they wouldnt do it... I'm in no rush for that game but the bundle is really good price - however if they dont have one part of the bundle they won't do it at all!!!

I think its disgusting that they won't even honor it online - you cant complete the order coz items are out of stock... ONLINE!?

Thanks... its a bit far to travel, but if they newmarket store has it all would they be able to ship it to me? (i dont mind paying the £5)...
Or will they refer me to a local store and back to square 1 :S

Argos won't send to another store,i asked,that's why i'm getting something from Blackpool not Glasgow.

what we have been doing is reserving the f1/rally game then selling the rest of the deal to the customer, so at least they can wait a couple days or travel to another store to collect the game. what that spotty kid said was not strictly wrong but highly un customer service like

yeah we were offering alternatives to the out of stock games but we got told off by head office for doing so:(
