I generally don't like ageing but now the profanity party has opened my eyes - I can sit in the corner being a cranky cantancerous old git - swearing at kids and pushing to the front of queues and running them over whilst speeding in my mobility buggy on pavements - I'm going to enjoy this :rotfl:0 -

Whenever I need to go argue/fight/standup for myself, can I pm you first and get some advice?
I always end up disolving into tears like a proper tittybabby.

For pities sake - people are allowed to change their minds/feelings/views especially in light of changing evidence and information... you can change your political opinions, views on whether house prices should go up or down, whether today is good to switch your leccy supplier.... whether you want to play on a forum.... just let the poor girl decide what she wants to do and give her motives the benefit of doubt... it's an open forum she is perfectly welcome to interact in it as you all are regardless of whether she said she didn't want to at some particular point in time....
Absolutely - I totally agree, but it's a little egocentric to be publicly resigning from a forum (it IS just a forum, no matter how many 'friends' you make on here) to then keep coming back and posting, fishing for people to plead you to stay/come back.
If you're going to 'resign', then just do it and leave the forum alone.
It just reminds me of a crappy band in a back street pub expecting people to shout for an encore after the peformance....0 -

A lot of people on forums are totally different than they are in real life. Many are quite shy and would never get involved in squabbles, others find it hard to put their feelings into words when they'd prefer to shout loudly.
When I get involved in an argument online, I eviscerate my opponent with the power of the spoken/written word. In the real world it's much easier, I simply shove them and then run like hell, giggling like a schoolgirl all the way.
It's the same with lovemaking. Online, I use the suave, subtleties of the English language to romance my prey. In the real world I simply pull the lady's pony tail and then run like hell, giggling like a schoolgirl all the way.
Life is so much easier in the real world.
EDIT: oops, I should have used 'past tense' when describing my lovemaking technique. I'm happily married and no longer need to woo the ladies. *cough*(thought I'd better clear that up before the PM's from lovelorn DFW ladies start appearing

I don't remember you being appointed forum [STRIKE]nazi[/STRIKE] administrator with the authority to write such rules.0 -

You know the best way to help IA now would be to stop posting, I am sure she would love this topic to die.
As well meaning as you all are you are keeping the bad feeling of the board going which is foolhardy.0
