hummm, I did ask and he did not know - sorry
If you dont get a response from them, look at the cabin baggage restrictions and utilise that.
god knows the amount of massive cabin bags I have attempted to lift. As long as it fits in the overhead or under the seat in front, I would cram it to the rafters

Hi Aiden,
Dont know if you will be able to answer this - but do you know what the chances are of a Virgin holiday to Florida leaving in December 2009 1) being sold out or 2) going up in price between now and December 2008?
Im wanting to book one, but would like to wait until December before booking, but im worried about the prices and availability if i wait!!!
Sorry catowen, I'm really not sure.
we operate 2 Orlando's a day from gatwick and 1 from Manchester and Glasgow, so they are often busy
December I have no clue what the availability is like, I can look at the same date in 2008 if that helps and see if the flights are busy around that kind of time ?
As for price -sorry cant help as Virgin Hols like all other Virgin companys are run seperate

sorry for the delay, just got back from a flight
I would imagine that BA would just charge an amendment fee, I know that Virgin does not charge much, so I would think that BA would be the same.
Maybe worth checking on there website T&C's, just play to there good nature, if there have one :rolleyes:I am a Travel AgentMy company’s ABTA number is V2043. Hi Aidan and thank you for volunteering your services!:T
DH, DD, DS and myself are flying to Orlando in October. Our flight is with Virgin but we have booked the package with Thomas Cook Signature. We tried online to book 4 seats together but apparently because the whole package wasn't booked through Virgin we are unable to do this.
What are the chances of sitting together? Will we have to wait until 24 hrs before the flight to see what's available?
Many thanks,
Ali0 -
Hi Aidenr
Do you know if on 1st August a lot of fares go down with your / other airlines? I noticed on 1st July for a day the fares to Australia dropped by £150! then by the next day they had gone back up. Was that just 'end of year' clear out or does it happen every month on 1st? Thanks!

Hi Ali,
I believe that you will have to choose your seats 24hrs before, as far as I am aware.
if you are in Economy the seat configuration is rows of 3-4-3 so you stand a good chance of sitting together.
If not I am sure that the ground staff or last resort the crew will try everything they can to seat you together.

Sorry GoldenJill,
I really am not sure about this one.
I am signed up to the frequent flyer ( Virgin flying club ) emails and from time to time they have specials on random days, other than that I have no idea
Sorry again

Hi Aiden,
Thanks for the replying. There are a few comments on the Florida forum regarding the LGW-MCO flight - some have commented on delays being quite common and that the planes aren't as comfy as they used to be - what are your thoughts on this?

Hi Ali,
You should still be able to book your seats. You need to ask Thomas Cook Signature for the Virgin Record Locator for your flights - should be 6 letters/digits long.
The only reason why you wouldn't be able to re-book is if the 60% of seats that are open to request in advance have been requested already.
Hope that helps.
