use a different sim to enter the code0 -
I've got two phones and trying to get one of them to work with Tesco mobile.
1. Nokia 3210.
Serial No. 449316206163379
Was locked to Vodaphone. Tried using unlock codes from Trycktill.com. It gives me two codes.

#pw+2437232527+2#
Took sim card out. With the first one, the phone doesnt seem to accept the final # when I try to enter it; it just stops after the last digit. The second code entered fine. Didn't give me any message though. Should it have if it unlocked properly? Tried using an Orange SIM and a Tesco SIM and neither works; it says "SIM card not accepted".
2. Nokia 3310. To my knowledge this was never locked. It works with both Vodaphone and Orange SIMs, but if I put in a Tesco SIM it doesn't find any networks at all (on automatic or manual).
Any advice on these gratefully received.
Thanks

2) phone mast be unlocked to accept both sims -it wuld say restricted if it was locked. try going into network selection and doing manual search, does it get a signal ok on orange and voda and does it make and receive calls ok on them0 -

1) If I enter the first code with the Tesco SIM in it comes up saying "sim was not restricted"
2) if there is an orange or vodafone card in it works fine. I tried Tesco and also now T mobile and I get no signal. I think the original service was vodaphone but dont have original sim. Have another vodaphone sim. I've tried unlocking anyway, using these codes
Phone type: DCT3
Model: 3310
IMEI: 351343801889121
Network: 23415
GID 1: E1FF
#pw+9607395275+1#
#pw+8031331732+2#
But it says SIM not restricted for both these codes with Tesco sim inserted.0 -
Nokia 6030 locked to Orange or O2 - in theory will this be easy to unlock or is it not so much the phone but the IMEI code?
BTW why is it legal to lock PAYG phones to a network when you pay full price for the phone and you are not part of a contract where the tariffs don't change?0 -

you do not pay full price for a payg phone - it is subsidised by the network
you would pay full price for a sim free phone which would be totally unbranded and will never have been locked0 -
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help - I managed to unlock my last nokia with no problems but this time I'm not so lucky! I have a Nokia 6030 on Orange (UK). The IMEI is 358381007538335. I am attempting to unlock it using the Code Calculator by CyberGSM v5.4 but I don't understand all the settings. I have used 3 of my 5 lives so I need to be sure that its going to work. Please help! Thanks. (Also, I'm attempting the unlock with a 3 sim card in place - I read earlier that this model needs a sim card in place when trying to unlock, but I know that some cheaper phones do not take 3 sims - could this be the problem?) - Sorry about the long post.0
