I had loads of plates supplied by Fancy Plates. I want to keep our cars standard even down to getting FP to put the original dealer name and postcode on the bottom of the new plates. The man without a signature.0

Must be after them to stick them on their cars to go through speed cameras etc with them on. I'm lucky my car is an unpopular one, therefore no-one's likely to want to steal my plates for that purpose.0

when my plates went walkies i ordered them off ebay, no messing about with docs or rude staff, arrived next day0

Yep, Scotland & NI. The number plate identity regulations was devolved legislation but the make up of the plates is a BS regulation. Confusing eh !!What about Northern Ireland? That company seems to be in NI. Does the Scottish exemption that you mention also extend to NI I wonder?0 -
BSAU154D must be printed on the plate but the regulations do not state where. That is why the MOT checking of plates was altered in a hurryYou would. The plate has to meet certain standards. The font and spacing must be exact, the printer's DVLA registered name and postcode must be printed at the bottom, and BSAU145D must also be printed at the bottom to indicate the plate meets british standards.

well after asking around tonight, it turns out one of the neighbours up the road had his taken, then the police turned up as his number plate was clocked leaving a petrol station without paying!! luckily he'd already reported it stolen! seems it's the latest trend near me......i'm glad the thing snapped on them!Stephb1986 wrote: »quite a few people near me have had theirs nicked its a bit out of order isnt it

if it seems to be a common occurence in your area maybe you should try to get the adhesive tape that doesnt come off unless you destroy the plates....work permit granted!0
