can you freeze bread ?!?!
Another tip is to split the loaf, so you can take a few slices out when you need them... I tend to freeze the loaf in halves or quarters - saves it going off.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

My Mum always just takes slices off the frozen loaf as she needs them. They break off easily so no real need to divide the loaf up before freezing, and the last slice is as fresh as the first!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

I do that too with wholemeal bread, as only me who will eat it in this house!!
