I love these 50p offers but i do think these latest offers are not as good as previous ones they seen to be making products espically for the 50p deals eg the eggs 4 in a pack
and the 4 raches of bacon i got 2 packs of the bacon, muffins and sausages through as still good deal but i have had the sausages today they are not as good as the previous ones 40 odd percent as aposed to 60 odd percent and this shows. The frozen bread debate its not as good as fresh but ok for toast.
If ive helped click thanks it will make me smile0 -

Where does the water go?
Now I don't know about that, to be honest. It might do but I have only, and perhaps stupidly, frozen an unsliced fresh loaf (but only the once) but again, I don't see why it wouldn't work with sliced fresh bread.
I am guessing that the water evaporates into the air in the bag - I don't lie any of bread on top of each other and never defrost more than 4 pieces in one bag at a time.
I'm also guessing (I guess alot) that there isn't much water free in the bag when you freze it and maybe some of it goes back into the bread - but it's never soggy.
More bread? Use more bags.
Give it a go with freezing just a couple of slices of fresh bread first and see if they're ok. It's gotta be worth it if it works...
Is there a bread thread?

I must say that I agree to special loss leaders being limited and never buy more than 6 of anything at one time.
On another website where my name's not Sidsmum, so I'm safe, I was shocked at people trying to buy up all the offered toilet rolls or whatever. Don't they realise other people need to save money and aren't they overspending rather themselves? They were upset that the checkout operators wouldn't let them do that.0 -
Cheers for the tip. I'll be there tomorrow morning for the items I need.0
