If they are still sticking to their previous form of new offers every fortnight, there should be new offers on from tomorrow. Do any of the Morrisons people know what the offers are going to be this week?

Or is the 50p item Price Crunch promo a thing of the past now?

there is a price crunch tomorrow, but i only noticed that it as i walked out, so cant remember what is on it, but did notice that it was only 4 items instead of the usual 8 for £4, Dave

EDIT - The items on offer are, bag of morrisons frozen chips 907g(50p), birds eye garden peas(60p), morrisons cod fillets(£2), morrisons absoloutely gourgous ice cream(90p), all for £4, HTH Dave
Take every day as it comes!!

EDIT - i can actually remember 3 of the items, a bag of morrisons own brand frozen chips(50p down from 95p i think), 1 of the morrisons absoloutely gourgeous ice creams(cant remember the price or flavour), birds eye garden peas(50p down from 99p), i cant remmber the 4th item, will post tomorrow when i get in and see it, so it is either a more expensive item than 50p, or some of the items are missing from the advertising banner, but i am pretty sure it said buy these 4 for £4 at the top, HTH Dave

I think it's Morrisons own cod / haddock fillets.

They are marketing it as a 'meal deal' so that you get fish, chips, peas and dessert for £4.

  • Looks like Tesco is trying to keep up with a cheaper chicken, but the peas are very good value although a small bag. I wonder how many each customer is allowed as I wouldn't mind buying a few and filling the freezer for the next few months.

Doesn't seem that good this time. The only items of interest to me are the chicken and the carrots, I've recently done a shop from Tesco and 1.3kg chickens where £1.99 and carrots are 45p.

I make my own roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. 2.5kg of potatoes are currently 57p at Tesco and 1.5kg of flour is only 33p and this will make around 156 yorkshire puds (12 = 110g flour, 300ml milk and 1 egg).

Looks like Asda have 1.6kg chickens for £1.85.
  • Does anyone know when these are due to change?

I cannot bring myself to buy those cheap, flavourless chickens. Plus I can't bear to think about their short miserable lives.

I buy a free range chicken from my local farmers market, it costs about £8 but we have it roast, next day cold with salad. I then freeze the rest of the meat to either do as a meat pie, stir fry or curry another day. The carcass makes wonderful chicken stock. I get about 10 meals from my really tasty chicken and it is old enough to have bones.
