Morning all, congratulations to those of you with good news and (((HUGS))) to those with bad news.

Going to be too hot for me today I think. Not sure how much flying I will manage as it's 2nd day of potty training DS1 and OH wants to go to Lidl as it's their gardening stuff today. I did some of the bedroom yesterday, cleared off a whole bookshelf/shelving unit that I'm giving to my mum so a lot of carp got thrown away!
Can't do anything in there until the Lazy Git gets up (it IS his day off) at which point he will probably moan at me for putting WM on, shouting at kids etc while he's trying to sleep!

So far have put WM on (if anyone has any tips for getting mould and smell out of that rubber seal in it please let me know), washed up and emptied and cleaned the kitchen bin so not too bad. DS1 is eating ice cream on the sofa though so will be more mess to clear in a minute!

    Here's my list.

Thursday Thllliiing!- Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Buy a smoke alarm
Fling open the window and let in the sunnyness
    Level 2
    Dust surfaces
Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
Put duvet away as it's been too hot for it for ages
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level 3
Sweep floors in bedroom and on landing
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    1. 36 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    2. Clean all the upstairs door frames
    3. Clean windows in these rooms
    4. Clear the top of a bedside cupboard/chest of drawers or shelf
Nice easy one for me today I think, which means it probably won't get done!
Also got some present stuff to buy as I'm doing gift baskets this December and want to spread the cost.

    :hello:sexymouse - I'll email you later!!

pigpen - well done to your DD, that's a fabulous set of results. By the way, DS2 had quite poor results at keystage 1 and I just thought of it as a quick diagnostic pick up of difficulties with literacy. He had extra help, and is now doing great.Well done to all the others doing exams this year - I had SAT's, GCSE's and AS and A2... so on tenterhooks for results on the 14th and around 25th August. That's why we're going away right at the start of the break. And 8000 posts - when do you get time to do anything else???

mudbath - Excellent news about DS.

Nicki - well done to your DD. Don't knock the good reports. She'll be a teenager sooner than you think!

toottifrutti, very pleased to hear the news about chemo break. Take care.

michelle - hope you have a great break!

Right, I'm off the flylady list today,(although I will do the bathroom) as I have a massive list of my own, including shouting loudly at DS1 who didn't go to bed before 2am, when I had specially asked him to go up earlier, and meant I had to come down twice to ask him to go up, and then he woke me up...gggrrrr.

I'll pop in later to catch up. Have a good day everyone.

It was really nice yesterday, as a lot of the children gave me cards and presents to thank me for teaching them, and the staff gave me an impressive Kenwood food processor, so I'll be able to do a lot more baking and cooking now.

    sexymouse xx

    No excuses now.

    Glad you back SM.

Woohoo I've got my medal. thought i talked alot but obviously i don't seeing as I have only done 750 posts :d unlike some people. * runs and hides so Pigpen can't find me and make me do some horrible hous****K as punishment.*
Have to say haven't done as much as planned yesterday. i am going to blame the heat ;)

Morning everyone, kids all up and fed and half dressed. We've been taking the kids to the park this last few evening and they have slept so well and no messing up there rooms at night or fashion parades with all clothes pulled out of the wardrobe and left lying on the floor.:j

Plan today is the list as well as the garden, need to get the path weeded and veg patch.

Well done to all the children who have done the SAT's and done so well.:T

I should go and get dressed and get a cuppa down me, will be back later to update.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

got rid of old mattress:D Its not actually gone but its out my house, council are meant to be picking it up, hubby took it down stairs last night and leant it against the wall at the pavement. However obviously during the night it has fallen over and some prat has parked on it:confused: Some people are beyond stupid, council better not blame me!

How on earth could someone park on a mattress? They must have had one too many at the pub :rotfl:

Still sitting here snivelling, didnt get a chance to pick up anti-histamines yesterday:rolleyes:

Poor you. You must be really suffering. DH suffers really badly from hayfever and I know how exhausting it can be. I had it until I gave up dairy. Now DH has been diagnosed with seasonal asthma too so I have two people who I have to make sure take their preventer each morning and night and have their ventolin with them!

toottifrootti glad to hear you are having a break from chemo. Six years is such a long time to be on it. I've heard it can make you feel really nauseous too, so that can't be nice. And what a wonderful person you are to be so positive to other people when you are suffering yourself. :A.

My dad was treated for prostate cancer a couple of years ago, but it seems to have come back again. I believe that most men who have it die with it rather than of it though as it's supposed to progress more slowly as you get older (and he is 76)

    Morning all

Sexy great to hear from you hun and glad you have survived your first 2 terms.

Toottifrootti I am so glad to hear you are having a break, I hope you are not spending all your time getting your home straight and are doing lots of nice things for you too.

Mudbath great news about no op this year I can tell you are really relieved

Busy day ahead in the dusty household. DH is off work to use up a day's holiday from his contract before he starts on his full time position. Poor thing has the task of digging out the blocked pipes and replacing them.

DS3 has a party on the school playground with go-carts - sounds fun
DS2 has a cricket match with cricket tea and DS1 is helping to umpire it - that will be interesting as all 3 have done nothing but bicker today so far.

Right to the shower for me.

Flying wise just my bedroom and hallway planned
    also:
    Put stuff in loft
    book tesco slot
sow seeds - YES DO IT TODAY DUSTY
    wipe AGA
Trip to Lidl to look at hedgecutters/cheap little mower

SLIP SLAP SLOP and off I pop
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

I think some people are in their own little bubble. I live on a fairly long road, with plenty of parking along it. You'd be amazed at the number of people who park directly across my driveway  They're then very offended when I ask them to move 10m to free it. One woman even burst into tears  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yesterday I started a 6 week holiday :T :j (apart from a couple of days back in the office :o ). We're away camping for 2 of them, but I want to get my franny back into gear, so thought this is the best lace for inspiration :A So far today I have:
    • Made and cleared breakfast
    • Prepared chilli for supper (using fridge leftovers ;) )
    • Made rhubarb and ginger jam
    • Done an hour of Board Guiding :D
I have a lot of cooking to do for a supper party tomorrow. DS needs to pack for a Scout camp. The Small Penguins need to continue the Long Campaign that is organising their rooms :o I'll iron this evening with a film. Anyone seen Nurse Betty

Have a great day, and I'll be back later, Penny. x
