what can i do now??

Hi all.
I was discharged in febuary and have started the clean up process. I have currently had only 1 creditor(barclaycard) that has updated to satisfied however the account is now listed as belonging to a diffrent company. Think it was "TII".
Also included in my bankruptsy was 4 defaulted accounts from 2007 (made BR in 2010). Will the default date be changed to the BR date or will they remain as logged in 2007?
I currently have 2 bank accounts which are reporting green zeros and have just been accepted for a 30day rolling contract with t-mobile and have also recently opened a cashplus account. I plan to maintain these accounts and hope that in the next few weeks that my BR accounts will be updated accordingly and correctly.
I currently have accounts with both experien and equifax and have held these since 2003. These services do cost £140 a year but I have found it to be invaluable when needed to make corrections. I am also planning to send a copy of discharge to the CRA for them to make the nescessary updates/changes also.
Good luck to all of you.0 -
Been discharged since early March 2011, and today ordered my Experian credit report.
None of my debts that went into my BR are listed.....why? Is this an issue?
Thanks :-)0 -
Just got my Experian credit file (did creditexpert which I didn't realise in now £14.99 a month, wished I'd just done the statutory one now) and it appears that none of my debts for my BR have been marked as settled or satisfied or partially partially satisfied/settled. I possibly should have waited a few more weeks to clean up (its only been 7 weeks) but nevermind, I'm going to proceed with the clean up letters. Thankfully I only have a couple of creditors so it won't be heaps of letters.
Anyway, I've started preparing the letters but I'm unsure of the addresses. On my credit report there is a section called 'Useful Addresses; and it states "The following addresses will help you to contact lenders or other organisations if you want to ask them about information on your report" and then lists all my creditors (past and present). Should I be sending the template letter to these addresses or a different one?
The main ones I'm concerned with are Santander (old Cahoot flexi loan) and my MBNA Virgin credit card. Does anyone have the correct data controller address for these? Also, it appears that Barclaycard have sold on my debt (despite that I was clearly in Bankruptcy and it was only a few hundred quid) to TTI SPC, so I'm assuming I should now address the letter to them (haven't yet had any contact from TTI SPC)?
BTW, on my credit file, these are the addresses for Santander, MBNA and TTI SPC.

If your still with creditexpert from experian then ring them up and get them to do it, they did with me and I had about 18 companies, within 28 days all had responded and changed the file to show satisfied/settled. Only worth doing though if your paying them or in free trial.

I am in the process of cleaning up my credit file after BR. I was made BR on the 10/09/2007 and was discharged on the 13/02/2008. Looking through my file I note the BR is listed but none of the companies are showing the correct default date and none are showing as settled.
My question is most of my defaults are coming up to six years old and will soon drop off my file so is it worth bothering to get these default dates changed and marked as settled or is just worth waiting the couple of months for them to drop off my file?
Secondly has anybody used Credit Confidential to view their credit file? I have just signed up to their 30 day free and to be honest after checking my file didnt think it was to bad. Besides the BR I have one default and 1 CCJ (paid) however I am struggling to get even a basic bank account??
Any Advice0 -
just remember with credit confidential they use call credit (CRA) to get there data which is the smallest CRA and as such may not have all the details the other 2 CRA have. Best to check with equifax and experian to be safe. Also call credit only give search data to a few companies abd if you do a search on this forum will find they are often out of date with information or take ages to get things sorted.

Hi all,
Okay question, hope you can help, i have looked at the links and cant find anything on this one:
I decalred myself bankrupt in 2004 and had it discharged in 2005, towards the end of this. I have since been good :-) I have a credit card and am never late with payments, i have a bank account, have no debts and pay all my bills etc and did manage to get a car loan in 2007 whih i finished paying in 2010. Since 2004 i have moved a bit, seperation/ divorce etc. I have been turned down for credit 3 times in 12 months, i have even been turned down for a new bank account. I followed what this board has told me and have my Equifax credit report, the only thing that looks out of place are what they call 'linked addresses', eveything else is fine, even my bills, credit card and bank stuff is down there and all looking good so it must be linked addresses, what are these and what can i do? They are all addresses i have lived at so not sure why they would be an issue.
I want my life back on track and everything clean so please help!!! :-(

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker here!
Im doing my credit clean up now and some of the debts don't have default dates but have the correct settlement date - What does this mean, Is it worth me getting them to put the default date on (Bankruptcy date). When will these vanish from my credit file? 6 years after the settlement date?
My largest debt has no default date and a settlement date 6 months after my discharge date - Does this need to be updated with a default and settlement date? The balance outstanding is zero as they sold the house and got the whole loan back.
Thanks in advance!
