Hi guys,
I went bankrupt on November 18th 2003, discharged April 1st 2005 then passed the 6 year mark on November 18th 2009...
Having checked my credit report, I noticed these descrepencies:
Equifax & Experian
Lloyds TSB Loan £29,000 - Default date 23/01/2004
Lloyds TSB Loan £605.00 - Default date 23/01/2004
Which is incrorrect - but isnt the end of the world as all the other defaults have gone off the credit reports now.
CallCredit
Lloyds TSB Loan £29,000 - Default date 23/01/2004
Lloyds TSB Loan £605.00 - Default date 23/01/2004
Egg Credit Card £3,000.00 - Default date 12/01/2004 (Deceased!!)
The thing is, it's showing as a D (default) for every month since my bankruptcy! So the data is inaccurate!
I wrote to Lloyds and Egg about this using the Data Controllers addresses off the Information Commissioners website - sent them both recorded. Egg's letter was signed for, but Lloyds is 'still in the delivery network' - which either RM arent getting them to sign for letters or it is lost....
How long should I leave it before I send another letter to Lloyds?
The above debts were they included in your bankruptcy of November 2003? If so they would be the SAME date as your bankruptcy date.
And should have gone when your bankruptcy finished, as they should have been dated the 18th Nov 03.
For instance, I went bankrupt in May 2004, yet some creditors defaulted me up to 5 months later:eek: which is totally incorrect, if a debt was included in your bankruptcy, it has to be the same default date. I had to write to about 7 creditors who all had the defaults later than the actual bankruptcy!
I mean I wouldn't be bothered writing to them now as you have only a few weeks for it to come off your files altogether:D0 -
Guys,
i was sequestrated (made bankrupt; Scottish Law) and was discharged in April this year.
My question is, any creditors i had before that and maybe i missed them when i went to my trustee. Are they included within this? As far as i'm aware everyone i owed money too whether they came forward or not is included.
Would really like to know this as i need to get my report cleaned up.
Thanks0 -

I've followed the instructions for file cleanup and managed to get everyone to update my file correctly except for EGG - I've had no reply from them and they haven't amended any of the details.
Does anyone else have any experience with EGG before I send a complaint to the ICO?
Thanks.0 -

Hope you all had a good Christmas! :j
I recently received my reports both from Experian and Equifax. I filed for bankruptcy on June 2008 and was discharged early in November 2008.
Experian report:
Looks fine but seems scarce information as I was most interested in 2-3 financial bodies (which I had problems with - the mortgage bank, and the service agent) were not in my report. Only the bank is listed under "Linked addresses":
- Name, #OLD ADDRESS#
- Linked to: #CURRENT ADDRESS#
- Source: Mortgage Bank
- Date of information: 17/12/03
There was no indication whether my debt had been settled or not. Part of my bankruptcy, I included my property (an apartment) as one of the assets and handed over the keys.
What does it all mean and what should I do?
Equifax report:
Under "Court and Insolvency Information"
Court date: ْْْْْْْXX/01/2008
Case Number: XXXXXX
Court Name: XXXXX
Judgement value: XXXXX service charge debt
Judgement type: County Court Judgement
Name: XX XXXX XXXX
Date of birth: blank
Satisfied Date: blank
Court date: XX/06/2008
Case Number: XXXXXX
Court Name: BANK
Judgement Value: £0.00
Judgement Type: Bankruptcy Order
Name: XX XXXX XXXX
Date of Birth: XX/XX/XXXX
Satisfied Date: blank
Under Credit Agreements
Mortgage Bank XXXXXXX (Joint Account)
Terms 300 @ £200 Monthly
Balances Limit £0
Start £0
Current £+0
Default £XXXXXX
Effective dates Start 15/09/2004
Default 05/2009
End 12/05/2009
Birth XX/XX/XXXX
Insight Last updated 18/11/2009
Monthly Status weird long number ending with "UUU"
What does this all mean in English? Is there anything here that needs to be fixed? Also not sure where £200/month came from? My monthly mortgage repayment was between £900 and £1500.
Many thanks in advance.0 -

Hello all,
Finally got around to cleaning up my credit file.... To be honest after a review of the big 2 reports, its not all bad :j. The only minor thing is Vodafone have my default date as 10/06/2004 when my actual date of default was 28/04/2004, however the account is settled etc so not a major issue, just over a month extra until its cleared.
So the decision then was do I get the letters off and have a mini-battle of wits with Vodafone or do I take the apathetic route and do nowt?
Well I've decided as I've got some time on my hands (sitting at home with the flu at the moment) I'd get a letter off to them and fight my corner.
Now my questions....
1) My credit files show the same default, am I right in thinking I'll only need to do this thing once and all CR companies are issued the information from source?
2) Both my credit files show Vodafone Ex Singlepoint, do I look for the data controller for Vodafone or Singlepoint? Because I can't seem to find anything for Singlepoint & about 8 different thnigs for Vodafone(any pointers would be magic!).
Well that's, must admit I'm suprised by the 'state' of my credit file, oh well we'll see how the poor relation Callcredit comes back - Probably be doing this about another 20 times on there .
Thanks

After viewing my file, I have noticed a linked address on there, which
is a place I have never lived.
The address shown shares the same street name as the flat I then lived in.
The linked address mentioned is on Thompson Fold, and the building I lived
in was Thompson Court, on Thompson Fold. Both my flat and the linked
house shown are both Numbers 9, but with different post codes.
Looks like a simple mistake, but not only has the address been linked, a
mobile phone account (Vodaphone ex Singlepoint) was shown on my credit file.
Luckily, the account was run with no late payments for 2 years and then closed
and shows 'settled'.
How would I remove this info?
