ebay to only accept PayPal in future

It looks as if, in light of Google preparing a global payment system, ebay will now only be accepting (drum roll) - PayPal - as a "payment processor". This link takes you to the Google Rumours page, with links to ebay user forums, and to the policy itself. Just a FYI for all you Nochex users out there.
If this does happen I will certainly leave ebay. I have just got my paypal account re-instated (nearly 3 months down) after a charge-back which went against me even though the seller refused to pay insurance postage costs, so I still have a bitter taste at present!
Paypal is great for buyer's but does not hold the same security for seller's. Which in turn gives us a catch22 situation. You want to pay for everything with paypal as you can buy secure with the knowledge of the chargeback system but you want to sell your goods and have bank transfers or cheQues.
If the rumours are correct and google release a similar scheme and ebay don't allow it then they would have to seriously re-configure their own system (paypal) or risk losing a lot of customers. Such a time would be a perfect opportunity for a successful launch of a rival. And that is something I would really like to see happen.
I have certainly got to the stage of hating ebay, they have little or no ethics for their customer base and the charges are far too high. They continue because there is no where else to move to, their customer base is gigantic, their profits are enormous. We need a healthy & almost as powerful competitor to keep things in check.
Of course all is not bad. Where else would I be able to save hundred's of pounds on my purchase's, so for now I'll still trade a little but if it get's any more unfair I'll be off in a flash.0
