Wow alterations do seem the way to go!
A girlie holiday?? It would be rather surreal finally meeting up with people you have chatted online to for months in the flesh, maybe we should all wear a rose and hold a book just so we know who each other are! I think I would be up for it though. Lake district would nice, lots of healthy walking! lol!
Lynne, you are on a roll!! good luck!! I went to York last year for a few days, it was gorgeous, I'd love to go again!!

I said to one of the girls in the office a while ago that I would like book vouchers for my birthday; as I want some holiday reading - so they got me a Waterstones voucher... now I am NOT an ungrateful wretch (lol) but I was hoping for actual book vouchers, so I could go to the cheaper bookshops and buy lots of bargains....:rotfl: :rotfl:
However, I will just have to carry on my 'look as though you belong here' look from last night and enjoy buying some books from Waterstones!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have any reccomendations? I love romances (not the mills and boone sort:rolleyes: ), historical fiction like Jean Plaidy and Phillipa Gregory... I want something not too 'heavy' for holiday, but enough to get my teeth into (I read the last Harry Potter book in 10 hours straight:o!!!)

I loved the book The SHakespeare Secret by J L Carrell - its not about Shakey as such, but basicaly about a girl who loves his work, is a director of his work then people around her start getting killed in the way Shakeys characters were killed off. Its great (but I'm a shakespeare geek..)
Jean Plaidy is such a great writer, she wrote the best book about Mary Queen of Scots ever
If you like Phillipa Gregory, then try Alison Wier (my fav is Innocent Traitor, its about Lady Jane Grey).
I love historical fiction!!:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -

So do I Kmac, am an avid fan of Jean Plaidy, but I dont seem to see her books in shops anymore
I loved her series on George 5th as I used to live 2 minutes walk from the Brighton Pavillion!!
The Shakespeare secret is absolutely brilliant, I borrowed it off a friend a month ago with the intention of taking it on holiday.... but I caved:o !!Personal challenge: Do without as much as possible to pay off £12k by 07/2009!!!:T
