  • Yep! In a Goerge foremans grill or in Oven - Wrapped or unwrapped:

Rub a wedge of Lemon on Skin.

Stuff with Rosemary, Herb Butter , and slices of lemons

Season with Salt and Black Pepper.

    And thats it. :)

I've always stuffed them with chopped mushrooms, tomatoes and onions - with a touch of garlic, put them in foil and then put in the oven.

Always left heads on as I find them easier to remove when cooked.

    Enjoy!

Sorry - don't know how long in George, I haven't got one!

oh! I never seem to time my food - I tend to check if in doubt.

Say a medium six trout for 20 mins moderate high heat? If in doubt check after 20 minutes though....

I don't wish to be disagreeable with Str4berr3 ... (I don't have a George F Grill) but ... it wouldn't even take as long as 20mins on a regular grill!!!!

Truly, it only takes about 2-3 mins EACH SIDE on a regular grill. Fish is a speedy item to cook and trout isn't something you'd want to eat dry - half the flavour is when it is a little moist (but cooked through!).

If you are going to cook it on a GF Grill - 20 mins seems be a looooooong time (and not very energy efficient either) :(

    (sorry, Str4berr3) :(

I've only cooked trout on the George Forman once, but from memory it took about 6-8 minutes and it was quite a big one. I hate eating fish if it's overdone, so it's worth keeping an eye for when the flesh turns pink and then it's ready to serve.

According to my GF book it should take 4-5 minutes (medium) 6-7 minutes (well done) if that's any help :)

  • I have some fresh trout that has been frozen, its defrosted and needs to be used. I dont want to eat it today (going out to eat) but im willing to cook it and freeze it.
I thought about making a fish pie (using this recipe).
theres a few things im not sure on.

    Is trout a white fish?
How do you steam it with this plate thing?
Is there an easy way to debone it?

    Thanks for your help :)
