Supermarket fuel any good?

I have read a few posts recently saying that supermarked fuel can be bad for you engine. I use Sainsburys diesel as its the cheapest (usually) and I collect nectar points too. I thought Sainsburys fuel was supplied by BP:confused: , so how can it be any different to the stuff I occasionally buy on the motorway? Are there…

The MPG I quoted has absolutely no motorway driving whatsoever and only a short 1-2 mile stretch of DC. Other than that, it comprises each day of 40 miles rural A road, 12 miles city rush hour and 4 miles town driving.
