Bought mine this afternoon...brilliant piece of kit......

What is the battery life like and where can I buy a spare?

I have seen a Casio one on Jessops http://www.jessops.com/Products/ProductDetail.aspx?SkuId=429 for £34.99, but do I need the branded one or is there another I can buy elsewhere cheaper...or should I not go for a cheaper one?
I assume these are the same

The Exilm ragen have a rechargable battery... Mine is good for 150-200 shots without a re-charge.

Awesome piece of kit and well worth the cash.. Bit pieved that i bought the 7.2M one 3 weeks ago!

Out of curiousity, did you buy it from Boots?

My reason for asking is you can get up to 28 days to change your mind with them - I did this twice with cameras, after I used them, as I didn't feel they were worth the money. No quibble refund!!

Also, quick question, probably a stupid 1. I now have to get a memory card for my new camera & was looking at the 4gb Scandisk from Play.com - they're doing 1/2 price card readers so:

What does a card reader do & why would I need one?

    Thanks

Used mine today (we went to Go Ape which is brilliant)..I shot 98 pictures and 8 short videos about 30 secs each and the battery has not moved...
The video quality is excellent and there are loads and loads of different settings for different conditions, light, scenery, etc.
    Brilliant little camera...go get one...:T

You plug the reader into a usb slot on your pc then insert the memory into it so your computer can read the files, the camera comes with a USB lead so you dont really need a reader, if you do get a reader make sure its SDHC compatable as all the new high capicity SD cards are now SDHC (4gb or over)

Personally i would get the Play branded 4gb card for £7.99 read the reviews its actually a Toshiba card

afraid not... got it from an ebay shop for £51 o cant grumble! Clearance Bargains - the Argos reseller.

still get the 2 year warrenty and all brand new unopened.

You can get generic batteries for this range for buttons on the bay of E's. From from Hong Kong so no use if you need immediately!

    Hi All,
I took the plunge and ordered one from Laskys at £78. As I already have the Casio 4MP camera this will be more of the same -it should be a great camera and extra quality pics perfect for my hols.

The only downside I have just noticed is that there is no viewfinder but as I look back on all the photos I have taken over the past year I cant honestly remember looking through the tiny thing any time anyway ...
