Hello, We are in Lincoln and are loving it!! My DH is in the RAF and we have 2 kids. How long have you all been WAG's? Do you like the life or are you counting the days until retirement?

I've been with my other half since 1996 and married for 10 years this September. We have had 5 postings (one was unaccompanied) in this time and he's been on various det's - I quite like moving around every few years but this posting is 4 1/2 years and we still have another 3 to do so no boxes for me for a wee while!!

  • I am a fairly new WAG, having only been married to my DH for 3 months. WE currently live in the sunny South West but will be on the move when his base closes at the end of the year. We are off to Shropshire. My first move away from my friends and family!

    Hi Marker,

We will be moving to Shawbury, in Shrewsbury, my husband is in the RAF. Loving life as a forces WAG but the real test will come in the new year when I leave my family and friends behind!

I know a few people at Shawbury. My OH is ATC so goes back there for courses and stuff - it's quite a nice camp and all the houses are behind the wire.

  • I don't see how this thread will save me money. I know it is nice to be pally with each other, but i know there are other wifey sites that you could post on to tell each other where you live. I know this because my wife doesn't get off them.

    Hi,

I have visited Shawbury as my sister was based there for her trade training and liked what I saw. My husband is ATC too and will be going to the school to instruct.
