I think what comes across in the written form is not always as it would come across if it was said in conversation to another person.

Please be mindful of this when talking about other people on the boards.

Your first sentence is correct to an extent, but there have been many posts removed by the poster in question as well as being deleted so it is pretty clear what their attitude is to those who know the full story.

Don't forget the total you have, £2700, is made up of DLA etc which is not classed as income.

DLA isn't classed as income for certain other benefits but there's no reason why you, as a couple, shouldn't class it that way. It's obvious that it will be part of your family's income!

In all this worry about her income dropping, surely you're forgetting the obvious benefits of the fact that you'll no longer be running two homes, so only one lot of rent, ct, bills etc. Surely that's going to represent a considerable saving?

You don't seem to understand, of course the £2700 will decrease once we are together. It looks like she will lose the majority of her money and we will have to live on my money, take home pay of £1290, which will have to pay for rent, CT and all the bills.
I was just enquiring wether we could get any tax credits, help with paying rent etc. Don't forget the total you have, £2700, is made up of DLA etc which is not classed as income.

What is it then if its not income:confused: Of course it is, its still going to be used in the monthly budget/expenditure.

She will still receive a healthy dosage of benefit awards even with you there. CB/CA and CTC along with DLA, that will all amount to a considerable amount.
