i agree with you onlyroz about the baby having a dummy.
ive got a question/advice, i am going doctors tomorrow anyway for an iron test i have just noticed a red mark on my breast, on the dark bit, it looks like bruise but more red.has anyone had this. i know you cant give out medical advice, it hurts as well.
thanks0 -
sounds like a blocked duct, which i've been suffering with for a wee while. try a hot flannel on it and massage the area when feeding and try to get baby to feed from this side first for a while and also try to feed baby wee bit more often than normal and it should help to clear it. mention it to the doctor though cos if you have a temperature with it you may need anti biotics - i did.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Breast feeding is the absolute best you can do for your baby.
It gives them immunity against lots of illnesses in the first few months. They have less chance of getting eczema or asthma. It creates a wonderful bond between mother and baby.
Mum will loose her pregnancy weight quicker, especially from the top of her legs.
It is so convenient. No making up bottles no sterilising. You can go out and do not have to worry about having enough formular milk with you. You have it with you on tap.
At night when your little one wakes up for feeds you do not have to go down stairs and boil the kettle etc. while you are half asleep with a screaming baby.
It does not spoil your breasts I have breastfed four children up to about 10 months each. Mine are fine and I am well past my sell by date now. Just go for it, it is worth sore nipples for a little while ( rub some lipsil on them)0 -

nope my hand never has ached, i pump for about 5 - 10 minutes at a time and usually get in and around 4oz, i then usually keep a bottle in the fridge in case i go out and can't bf where i'm going, and then if i don't use it, i put it in breast milk freezer bags and freeze it. I've currently got a freezer drawer full of milk which I am donating to a milk bank.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
