No. Merely that people who have decided to go against the crowd and follow their own decisions for their own reasons are much stronger, rather than those that are so weak they are fooled into doing what others preech. And I am not saying that breast isn't best, just stating that this is a free world and people make their own decisions based upon their own individual circumstances.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

Sadly, formula feeding is what "the crowd" tends to do in this country!
Breast isn't best - it's normal. Formula is sub-standard....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Whatever. But force feeding women into breast feeding just causes resentment, does not increase breast feeding rates and makes those unable to breastfeed feel guilty. And if health professionals get too forceful about it, then whenever there are other problems, then their advice will not be likely to be sought.I consider myself to be a male feminist. All you breast is best hippies carry on breast feeding
whereas that is calm, reasoned debate, no doubt?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Well, you're obviously getting more wound up than I am, so who is the one that is not calm? Lol. :rolleyes:I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths recommends that parents don't co-sleep with babies who are less than eight weeks old as one study found that this also increases the risk of cot death. They recommend that baby sleeps next to you, rather than with you, for the first six months of life.
However, many posters are here mention co-sleeping as the most natural thing in the world?
One study which unfortunately doesn't differentiate between smokers and non-smokers or between bed co-sleeping and falling asleep on the sofa.
The fsid also recommend the use of a dummy based on a sub standard piece of research funded by a dummy manufacturer
Whilst they have the best intentions without any doubt the quality of the research papers they use to base their recommendations on do not satisfy me personally.K xx

Oh, my interpretation of co-sleeping is baby in bed with parents? And yours is when baby is in the same room as parents?. My baby was in a moses basket next to my bed, as per guidelines, but I would never in a million class this as co-sleeping.

I'm not at all wound up - for a start, you will notice I'm not flinging insults around or trying to denigrate other women.
I'm mildly amused at your defensiveness, rather than annoyed at it. :T...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

The most important element of co-sleeping as far as my definition was concerned was not having to get out of bed at 4am :rotfl:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
