Went to my Asda and couldn't get the sausage for anything, was just dust there waiting lol. But managed to get lettuce, cucumber, celery eggs and mincemeat.

    Sausage ... gone.
    Mince .... gone

Eggs... there...but can get free range ones locally that are about the same price.

All I managed to get is a lettuce which I needed anyway.

  • Hi,

Asda Portsmouth is a large store... in first thing as the doors opened this morning and lots of everything at 50p... except the mince... only 20 packs on the shelf (I grabbed two) and they don't sell the loose New spuds  .

If they are going to do these 50p bonanzas on a regular basis, they need to get the stock to cope!

Yes, Asda show a cheerful disdain for customers - Morrisons values our custom more, it seems!

Asda 50p items on again this weekend, tonight I noticed

    butter
eggs (caged chicken ones - boo Asda)
    mushrooms
    twin pack sweetcorn
    lettuce
    sausages
    1 litre fresh milk
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I'm all for Money Saving :money: ........ but I do draw the line at 50p battery eggs and 50p intensively farmed factory Chickens. I would prob avoid the 50p Sausages too, as I doubt they would have much meat content in them.

I got Asda butter at 50p a pack a couple of weekeds ago - it was pretty well hidden at the bottom of the rack, I made sure I pointed it out to a number of people and got some for the old lady who couldn't reach down for it :)

Some of you will hate me though as I bought 18 packs of butter...I don't get to Asda very often and it'll keep nicely in the freezer. There was lots more on the shelf though and I had got up especially early on Saturday morning to get it....
