If your after HP no 56 then Amazon are doing the 2x pack for a reasonable £21 (or 1 for £10).

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000A5BDJC/202-6561034-5054217?v=glance&n=560798&s=gateway&v=glance

Incidentially why does Amazon now very irritatingly list the lowest marketplace price as that in the main listing & not it's own price. This drives me mad as I want to know what amazon are seller the item for & not a secondary seller with expensive P&P. Grrrr

My HP no 57 has just clapped out & the cheapest i can find a replacement is also amazon @ £17 (any cheaper supplier info gratefully received).

The irritation with this is that I don't use the colour cartridge but sneaky HP have designed the printer so that it will not function without one & so that the ink in a full one dries out & registers as empty after about a year.
I do hope you're telling the truth?
  • ebuyer are doing a 2 pack for £18-99 but I can't remember if this included delivery or not. http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=21005129052&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=98902

We use a lot of HP catridges at work and to cut the cost we have tried recycled refills on several occasions and always been disappointed - we always go back to original HP cartridges!

However, personally I have bought genuine HP catridges on https://www.ebay.co.uk at good prices and this is the way I intend to buy any future genuine cartridges.

its a known fact that the printers are so cheap, and cartridges so expensive.
ive found in the past that the refils give a much poorer quality, but when ordering a whole load of cartridges from my local hp reseller, was told that id save £20 by buying a new printer which came with those cartridges, i now have 2 printers, one will be going or ebay shortly!
Debt at highest (april 2005) £19000
    Current Debt (september 2006) £7600

Mortgage Pig = £31.43 and we move in on Friday (6/10/06)

    :j £2 savings = £22 started 1/9/06
  • I was in P.C. World last Saturday looking for a new printer and I noticed that they were selling some NOT H.P. 56s for twelve pound odd. I never had any probs. with them when I used to buy them at Staples. Just my luck, I find some el cheapo ones but can't buy them 'cos my printers b*gg*r*d.

Hmmm, not impressed. Ordered the above from _memorymegastore_ via amazon. On the order page it stated that postage was free but on my receipt they've charged me £4.50 (no longer the cheapest!) I've asked them to clarify, but beware!

UPDATE: They cancelled my order without any quibbles but the postage would have been £4.50 if I'd wanted to proceed. I ended up going to Cartridge World in the end - £9.95 for a HP56 refill as I was in a hurry

I think the best value HP57 at the moment is to do "collect @ store" for something like £31.49 for TWO x HP57 (twin pack) from P C World.
