Hi - first post! LOVING this board and have been browsing through it far too obsessively for about a week now
I love love love Christmas and started the tradition of making my own Christmas cake a few years ago.
Just wondering, when do you make yours? I know the longer it sits and is 'fed' with brandy (yum) the better it gets, but when is too soon? I'd do it tomorrow if I thought it was ok!!
Thanks0 -

Only Hubby and I like Christmas cake so I don't bother making one. I usually buy a couple in January from M&S when they all get reduced to clear though!Val.0

I won't be making Christmas cakes and puddings this year.
Last year we decided we were all fed up with the usual Christmas stodge and most of us admitted we actually did'nt realy like it but have only eaten it all these years because of tradition.
So sadly everything Christmassy, food wise has been banned in our house.
Mind you I did'nt like Christmas cake anyway,just enjoyed making it.0 -
