I use mine (bissel) as a replacement for my vac.

I only need to vac round the edges every couple of months and its the best £10 I ever spent!

I should add, I hate vacuuming!
Know the difference between what you WANT and what you NEED. :T
  • I won a battery powered carpet sweeper in a comp a little while ago and its not as good as my big dyson but its great when the kids have had biscuits and dropped their crumbs, as they do lol

I dont know how i lived without it, its so handy. Its great for the car too :)

Used one I had which did hard floors and carpet loads before we moved, great for woof hair which always lurked by mid afternoon. No idea where it got put when we moved :( you've just reminded me that was the last time I seen it. Will have to ask DP if he's seen it
One day I might be more organised...........

Hello folks, I use mine throughout the week to keep the carpets tidy, and just use the hoover once or twice a week rather than lug the dyson out every other day. DGS who is nearly two runs to the cupboard shouting 'mess, mess' to get it if he drops crumbs, he loves it - and it helps him to learn to tidy up after him!

  • When the MATHLETTS were small I found a carpet sweeper ideal for that once a day whip-round. It was brill at removing crumbs, threads and cat hair. HTH

They're great as a quick "grab and swoosh over" 1-2x a day where you've mostly been, or where you can see bits on the surface.... keeps it looking clean until a proper vacuum. They work really fast, used to use one at my parents' house.

If I had a carpet I'd get one again.
