Hi and welcome back CAFCgirl! Sorry to hear about your little crisis in the last couple of days, but I'm intrigued by your whirlwind romance and so very jealous of your ongoing trips to NY. I was there twice last year and won't be back until at least 2010 for financial reasons and it's rubbish. I used to live there and try to get back every 6 months to see friends and family. My latest New York pyjamas were in the form of Scrubs scrubs from the NBC shop at Rockefeller Center. Even my user name here is based on the bar where I drink with my Dad...

I have PM'd you about something New York related :D but in the meantime my top tip is take a foldy up picnic blanket so you can get deli sandwiches and munch on them in a leisurely fashion in Central Park.

    Thanks all!

    Top tips!
I started writing my list of things to pack etc, always makes me feel like im getting ready to go on holiday.
Today was last day at work till 4th as well so of course the day really dragged!
Started planning my hand luggage to keep me amused on the plane. Ideally I'd like to sleep for most of it to help balance myself when we get there. Last time I went to bed too early, and of course that had a knock on for the rest of the week, was ok given that it was cold and dark by 7pm, but this time with light till late we want to still be out exploring.Any tips for catching some zzzzzzzzzzzz's on the flight? Must remember not to have a starbucks before we board like last time!!

Thought about a blanket for park lounging, but thats just decided it for me, thanks Nevada. Having a final flit through all the bits and pieces I've collected in our little notebook about days to spend in certain areas etc, make sure I haven't missed anything!

    OK!!!!

So leaving the house tomorrow, and staying over at my parents who are very kindly giving us a lift to the airport in the morning.
Staying there knocks about an hour off the drive plus dont have to worry about airport parking.

Figured I'd pick them up a little gift over there to say thanks.
Am so excited now, have had a very good day and cant wait for the next week.
Have tonight to get the majority of my packing done, and I'm in 2 minds about what to wear for the plane... need comfort, argh decisions decisions.
That and I need to run into town tomorrow and pay my credit card bill which is due to 2nd august, but we've overseas then, and I forgot to do it today!
    Such a numpty!

I've not been long back, but I'm gonna miss you guys this week.....

    Hi All!

    I'm back!

And got to admit that holiday was well worth it! Had such a relaxed time, which is much needed after all the dramas recently plus my little mini drama just before!

Anyway now I feel so MOTIVATED not to mention jet lagged as landed at 10am this morning!
Its time for the whip cracking to begin!
So I hope everyone feels like helping me out a bit.

Later on today we plan on re-listing hubbys car on ebay (with a better finishing time this time round!) and that would then clear 5k straight off.
I'm just going to check my BT to make sure theyve all gone through and then I've re-done a snowball calculator thingy for a date etc.

Hubby is now go go go for getting a job, and we've come home to a letter from the Fire Service inviting him for tests. This is really what he wants to do as his career from childhood. However in the interim we still need something coming in, even if he's flipping burgers at Mac D's! Its gna pay the bills!

So YAY for being back and YAY for the overall well being!

Hope everyone is well... missed you all tonnes xx
