Was a pants show today so I gave up and put the music channels on, got DH's presents that are here wrapped up.....

hi everyone, i havent been on for a few days cause OH been off work sick i have missed you all!!!! really fab news about the house hun, i saw an advert for some pug puppies in my local pet shop it had a picture of them soooo cute and i thought of you cafc lol!!!!!!

Well i havent been doing good on the money front however we have not bought anything on credit cards or ordered from catalogue for quite a while so this is a positive. I am going out tomorrow night for my works crimbo do i cant wait!! we are going for a meal then to a karaoke bar wooooooo!!!

By the sounds of it Bella hun, you've been doing very well on the money front!
I often find that I can get all gung ho about making payments etc but actually controlling what I spend is a bigger challenge, so if you've not increased your debt/ordered on catalogues that is still a great effort in the journey!
Hope your night out is a good on. Sorry to hear DH is still feeling poorly, is it flu or a cold or something else?

Yeah the puppies are really cute, I need to stop looking at piccies of them on the internet!
Taking over the new house on the 8th and DH is going to be decorating for a few days before we start to move things over. We're both looking at this place to be home for quite some time, as its the kind of place you can grow into (if that makes sense) as opposed to where we are now, suited us for where we were at the time, but even now we've got too much stuff for the flat so getting somewhere bigger, for less, is a great feeling.

DH's loan payment cleared from account so the payments start up again which is a really positive feeling, we're sticking to low-ish payments this month in order to pay the deposit for the new house, and im pretty chuffed we're going to be able to do it all without increasing the debts etc.

Thanks hun, really glad thinks goin good for you! great start to the new year! OH just feels really weak and unwell, its not like him to stay off work, on a positive we have got loads of stuff done whilst hes been of we have tidied our bedroom cleaned out under the bed and wardrobe!!! believe me it wasnt a pretty site lol!!!

we have meal planned for next week gonna, sort another few weeks out up until crimbo, so will be spending min amount of money on food, just essentials bread milk and potato's.

Am really excited about my crimbo do my friend owes me catalogue money £10 and she owes me £20 from last week, also my friend gives me £10 a week for taking her to work she has been saving this for a few weeks ready for the crimbo do, so in total i have £60, it seems alot but i'd rather take more and have a great time and not regret going and spending the money than spend say £40 have an ok time but feel bad about wasting the money, if that makes sense lol!!!

Well its not every day that you get to let your hair down so I completely understand going with more, plus what you dont spend you can always put against the debt, but you should have a night to yourself....

Well done on the meal planning. Im going to look at using up as much as possible in the cupboards so we dont have too much food to move with.

Poor OH, all I can suggest is plenty of fluids and some vitamins. Its a tough time of year really, and sometimess stress can play havoc on your system. How are things at work for him these days?

They still pretty poo but he has received a letter from the solicitor which says they admit a breach in there health and safety was a cause for OH accident, but they are wanting to cut his compensation by 20% due to him failing to comply with housekeeping policies, but OH is contesting this so we'll see what happens.

The freezer and cuboards are full so theres no excuse for buying anything! There is deffo something going round we have all been ill recently

Anyway i'm gonna email my boss at work find out whats happening with going on nights xx
