Figures confuse me
That is great about your OH. I agree maybe £400 towards deposit and £200 towards something nice for yourselves. I think that's what I would do!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
DFD:Nov 22/June 22
Mortgage: €199,712

Another solution would be to buy a cheap washing machine, which you would save the price of in roughly 8-10 months as your rent would be £25.00 a month less. Lets face it the landlord is only going to get a cheap one and you'll be paying extra for it for all the time you are there- and then it's also yours- not the landlords. Either way you would still be paying for it.Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???0

I'd tend to agree with cafcfan, why not spend some of OH bonus on a washing machine in the sales you could pick a decent one up for about £150 if not less, that way the rents gonna be cheaper and if you move again you can take it with you!
today i have eventually cleaned the bathroom and i'm making a big pork dinner for tea with mash roasties, gravy the works! trying to cheer OH up with him being ill but still going to work, bless him!
Hope everyone is wellxx

HA HA!
OK progress made...
Letting agent got back to us to agree £575 with a washing machine.
Admittedly we could have bought one ourselves however the actual thing needs totally installing (as there hasnt been one in property before), as there was no plumbing set up for it, so they will bear that cost as well, and if anything ever goes wrong with it, they are liable for that...
And considering we went there expecting to pay 600 a month, this is quite a touch. Should be able to go in and talk through the paperwork etc, and agree when we will take over the property on thursday.
Work was rather quiet and FREEZING! Brrrrr..... on a positive though, didnt spend any money, posted my cheques and its pay day tomorrow! woowoo...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
afternoon caf et al
That's great about the new place! Sounds like you will save more by leaving the washing machine to them too yay!
day off for me today thank goodness. I've just finished my xmas shopping. Thankfully only had my parents to buy for as all my mates r skint too so we've cancelled xmas and are going out to dinner instead. makes more sense really.0 -
Well done for getting all your xmas pressies sorted out!
Had a good day in the shop, made some money which is always good.
Day off tomorrow so we're hoping to go into the new letting agent to get some papers worked out and then figure out a moving date.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Hello All!
Been out and spent money..... so now have £57 left of my personal spends as needed to get wrapping paper, and bought a starbucks for me and DH. Going to be wrapping his presents whilst he is out this afternoon.
Not much else going on, went to see letting agent but he was out of the office on viewings so that was a bit annoying as we really want to get the deposits/references filled out and sorted, feels like its hanging in the air a bit, but hopefully will hear back from him this afternoon.
Need to get on Dooyoo this afternoon and get some reviews done if I want to get this 50k miles before Xmas.
Short of that not a lot else has happened really, so want to have a productive afternoon with reviews and wrapping and then im going to log into all the accounts and calculate my payments for this month.
Hows everyone else doing?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
hello! i'm feeling slightly giddy as my £50 amazon voucher from qype arrived
quite sad too tho looks like our woolies is closing. now i know woolies isn't fab and on the mainland you guys have wh smith and such but here woolies is our biggest shop for stationary and stuff so it's going to be a huge loss.
I keep meaning to join dooyoo but i'm a scaredy cat and would cry if someone gave me a bad review lol!0 -
Yeah I heard about Woolies, thats shocking!!!
Sad times to work in retail...... arent I lucky?! LOL
As for Dooyoo, noones ever horrible, some people like to think they know a lot about certain topics (which some admittedly do) but you know they spend ALL their free time on there, and thats just quite sad.I've just been on and done some reviewing of other peoples reviews, whilst i try to decide what to do my reviews on.... hmmmm decisions decisionsWealth is not measured by currency0 -
