If it was me I would have the cash in my purse. I have this real thing about breaking into notes so can last much longer with hard cash. Spending on the card doesn't count in my eyes lol

I know that feeling, I love it when the payments go up and you update your spreadsheet and see the debt dropping :D

Its just the few days before that drag.....

Need to write my cheques for my ebay items and put together something to track my personal spends. Need to work out how much I then need to take out in cash £75 - spends on ebay.

I need to sit down and sort my budget for next month. I get paid on thursday but I think I'll do it tonight once my little girl is settled (hopefully better than last night lol). I like doing things like that with a clear head.

I am thinking whether i might take out cash for my spends and groceries and then I can visually see how I am doing if that makes sense.

Do you normally go food shopping then? I generally do ours online otherwise we end up spending too much!
So I have to keep the grocery budget in my bank account to pay online, but following everyone's replies I'm going to take out cash for my spends. After what I spent on ebay, I've got £67 left of my budget.

Have written out my cheques now as well to post on walk into work tomorrow.
Was hoping for a call from the new letting agent today about the new house but not heard anything yet.... bit annoying...

I tend to go food shopping and go to several places throughout the month. Main bits will come from Tescos, might pop to Lidls at the weekend near my parents and then often get bargains from Iceland which is near my place of work.

I find doing it this way I don't run out, if I do a big online shop I tend to run out in week 2 and end up doing another big shop :rotfl:

Just phoned the letting agent who has said he hasnt heard back from the owner as yet.
Also said that in order to provide a washing machine, its unlikely we can get a rent decrease to £550..... said if they provide a washing machine we will pay 575, as its still less then we thought we would be paying in the first place, and less than we pay where we are now.....

Just so annoying to not know where we are, and both DH and I want to get moving, pay up our fees etc.
The only good thing is.. (in a way) is that we have to give 1 months notice where we are, so I can get that sent to them now. And if we sign the papers for new place at a later date say to move in for start of January then we wont be paying 2 rents on 2 properties from one months wages, so thats something! Plus we wont lose any money from our deposit on existing place, as DH was saying we should just stop paying rent on here and have them take it from the deposit, but I dont really want to do that.
The ideal would have been early release from here but since they seem to ignore everything we say, thats not happening..... so this I guess is the next best option.....

GAH! so much hard work sometimes ...... life..... :)

I'm the opppsite, if I do small shops we end up spending that much more. Whereas 2 big shops in a month mean we have to last the fortnight :rotfl:
