Your friend is spot on.Theres no point dragging it out going to work when you're not well, as it'll just hold on for longer, your body needs time and rest to get over it.
Just done our food shop online and came in at £45. But that includes DH's lunch stuff which normally he pays for seperately so thats good.
Got a meal plan sorted out for the next 2 weeks as well but we will need to buy some more lunch stuff next week but should manage that for about £10.
So if we can do this every fortnight and spent £55 on food (which has included a few treats) so that would be aboout £120 a month (including ousehold bits). Colleague at work helped me to work out food costs for a dog as well so we can actually manage it comfortably out of the £175 I budget for food and household bits each month!
Woohoo!
Now just need to get a house which will allow us a dog, get a dog and life will be a little bit shinier......Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Well done***** on the road to debt freedom *****

MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Super happy this morning and just been to go and see the cottage and it is IDEAL!
Add onto that the letting agent said he can probably get the rent discounted for us to £550! Thats a whole £100 less then what we pay now!!!
AND........................... said yes to us having a dog!!!!!
Got a really nice sized garden, 2 good sized reception rooms, 2 double bedrooms, large bathroom............ only downside is the kitchen, which as yet doesn't have a fridge/freezer or washing machine but the agent said if they were a deal breaker for us, then they could get them put in!
Also said we can decorate, providing its in keeping with the property and they will share costs with us!
So all in all a very fantastic day so far and its only 10.10am!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Awww hun whats up? Are you feeling any better illness wise?
Problem shared is a problem halved and all that...
Yeah we've done a rough budget to include a dog and we can afford the monthly expenses, food, insurance etc and we'll set up a seperate account to put money away into for other vet bills etc.
We want to get a pug, its the only breed DH and I can agree on, plus they are a bit lovely anyway!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Wow, well done on stashing the cash....
Wonder how much you can stash before he does notice, could get quite a nice little bit of savings there... i might just try the same thing....
Awwww a basset! That was my third choice, after a pug and then a bulldog... how much would you say you spend on feeding your basset?
I keep trying to look online for how much food wise a pug should be eating, but I cant seem to find an answer, my colleague told me how much she spends on feeding hers, but not the quantities and she's more well off than we are so its all pedigree chum
Just got in from town and got my secret santa present for work done, and a couple more bits for OH's stocking, just want to get some some socks and a t-shirt/jumper and that will be done
I think a chill out weekend would be very good for you, have a nice relaxing bath, read a book, face mask or something, that always makes me feel a bit more human... that and loads of chocolate!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Afternoon hun fab news about the pup but then I am a bit biased lol.
I only spend about £5 a month on my pup at the moment as I go to a local farm food shop and buy it loose. Tescos puppy food, not value is about £2.60 for 2.5kgs I think from memory.
I buy her little biscuits too and they are 99p a box which again lasts me a month. Between my insurance and food I reckon I am only spending around £20 a month on her at the moment.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hey gorgeous, how you doing?
Thats a lot less than what I was thinking lol.... just goes to show my colleague does over indulge her pugs with the "best" that money can buy...
I thought I would do a mix between wet and dry food for the pup, but still i cant find any information online about what suits them best as a breed.....
we'll be moving out to a village (hopefully) so will have to have a look around for a local farm shop...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Awwww I hope my little pup isn't have a bad quality of life on my meagre allowances lol. I think its like everything if you want to spend a fortune you can but you don't need to. Farm shops are a god send and one of the huge benefits of living in our little village.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
