How are you getting on with clearing yours? Is it joint debt, or just yours?

God there must be no hope for them if there have been no suggestions! ARGH!
Surely not people, surely we can figure out something!!!! PLEASE!
I've got a late start at work today and then this evening I will be re-working my C.V as I need to start looking for a new job. Also going to go through some cupboards and corners and see if there is anything I can put up for sale on Ebay, try and get a bit of cash together....may end up having to get a 2nd job given how things are currently looking, I'm a bit loathed to if I'm honest just because I'm rather stubborn regarding what I'll do LOL such a snob I know, plus if OH got a job, we would really be having such problems...
Should only be spending the 60p i've got on the side for the local paper for the job hunt..
Feeling quite a bit happier today than I was day before yesterday, mainly because I've come back and am determined to get this situation controlled.
So just need to get on with it now....

OK Positive Step No.1
Our BT monthly charge for line rental/clearing connection charge etc has now been reduced from £35 a month to £20.50.
Saving us £14.50 a month..... now lets see what else I can do today!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Morning CAFC.
Had a look at your SOA and nothing immediately stands out. Possibly some room for budgetting on your grocery bill if its just the two of you. Have you looked over on the OS board for cheap meal ideas?
You haven't factored in anything for petrol, but mention car tax etc.
I think the key is for OH to bring in some more cash unfortunately so hopefully he will hear some positive news following his interviews. In the meantime can he get ebaying??
Any chance of doing some balance transferring from some of the higher paid cards to the o% cards?Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Hi Caf
thinking of ways to make money (kinda) have you joined the Royal mail panel? you get 18 1st class stamps a month for sending stuff and inputting data onine for items you get. can do extra surveys sometimes for £6 vouchers.
to make amazon vouchers join bview and you get i think its £10 voucher for every 20 business you review.
if you already know about these sorry for repeating!0 -

Hey Doodle,
Yeah I'm hoping to now budget £30 a week for groceries. I've been having a good flick through the OS, and my recipe books.
Petrol I thought I'd put in, it's less than £30 a month since we're not really using the car anymore.
Yes unfortunately it does rest quite considerably on the job front for him. I'd like to think he'll hear on monday about the jobs, so positive vibes please people....
I could try and do some playing about with the cards. I'd like to knock the numbers of cards down quite a bit... so perhaps splitting the I.F balance between the Abbey MBNA and the Abbey zero....:rolleyes:Wealth is not measured by currency0
