Hi All
Did complain to my line manager who asked me what I would like done. Ive opted to send the guy an email yesterday, just saying whilst I am happy for him and his wife, I find it very difficult to discuss and I dont want my recovery from our loss to be affected in any way. Its not personal against him, but a self preservation on my part.
I'd like to think he'll be humble and apologetic but I know he'll !!!!!, so just gonna do that and then see what happens. After then, see whether my line manager has to get involved, although I know he wont listen to her anyway.
But will make me feel better i think, well i hope...
I've almost finished reading Alan Carr's book, it has honestly made my day seem a lot lighter, some serious laugh out loud moments in that book, got some strange looks on the train i can tell ya!
Not much else been happening..... really need to claim all my expenses back from work.
Also made a list of some other things that I need to get done, which when I can find out where i put out, i will post and hopefully get done!
Hows everyone else been doing?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
evening. aw you did the right thing :grouphug:
I wasn't a fan of Alan Carr til i saw him on Jonathon Ross' show. might nick my friends copy of his book when i finish reading "how i lived a year on just a pound a day"0 -
LOL.... he is the funniest person in my eyes, i would love to see him live one day..
Glad someone thinks i did the right thing, im trying to not let it be the only thing i think about but its hard....
Did have a discussion with OH about me asking work if I can go down to only doing 4 days out of 7 just to have some more time to myself to think, and relax and absorb I guess.
OH is happy for me to do it but im just worried what the money thing will do to us, as it would mean losing 230 a month... not doable in our budget really.
Although Im going to see if my head office are ok with me dropping to 4 and im going to use my outstanding holiday to take an extra day off for a few weeks coming up..... hoping that seems reasonable.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
well it wouldn't be a permanent thing (well unless you wanted it to be). honestly (and tell me to shut up if you want) i think its important to take care of yourself else you'll never truly heal if that makes sense. could always pick up some mystery shopping for extra pennies.0

true.... my theory was if I take the extra days off as holiday, the company would be paying me, which they will have to anyway.
Plus I dont have any plans to take any holiday before end of the financial year anyway.
Im hoping the company will be receptive, my spin will be I either go down to 4 days a week, or I work like a dog for a few weeks and then end up breaking down and getting signed off, and not being at work at all...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
yeah and no1 wants the later to happen! x0

well thats my spin to put on it anyway. Im going to ask my line manager about it 2moro and email my operations director and just get someone to confirm in writing/email for me...
I would rather only have to worry for 4 days out of 7, and then commit to one of my days off to be totally non work, non stress and just be healing orientated, whether its spending all day in bed, or going to a session of some sort or what.....
Hopefully be able to let everyone know tomorrowWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Right, will be asking about only doing 4 days a week for a period today, so wish me luck!Wealth is not measured by currency0
