    GOOD LUCK CAFC GIRL!!
I'm considering starting my own diary, i have been toying with the idea of cutting back and paying £1000 a month of my debts - yes, like many on here I got debt free and then took my eye of it and am back in debt - never ending!
is it doable this close to xmas?

How did you get on with reducing your days? Hope they agreed to it - even if it's just for a couple of weeks it'll help.

    Hi All,

Well my day was pretty chokker, with bits and pieces so didnt get round to asking..... however I've just decided to lower my days for the next few weeks anyway, and take the odd days as days holiday, its owed to me so im taking it LOL... then I'll see how I feel, might be feeling better by then, so it wont be an issue.

Winkle, I think diaries are helpful to the person, and Im sure some peoples are really helpful to other people, mine I dont think falls into the latter, but hey I enjoy it! LOL

Sad part of the day is getting our electricity bill, at £330!!! Shocking!
Its because all the bills we did have previous have always been estimated... we knew it was coming but I was living in optimistic hope it wouldnt come in at that price!!!

    That was my thinking....

Got OH cooking me dinner right now.... he's just said we've got no food left, and the freezer is bare... not according to the list I've got on here! lol

If it doesnt come out of a box and get put on a baking tray, he thinks we're gonna starve.
Admittedly I do need to get some more vegetables (managed 2 portions with each meal for 4 days now)...might try and get those on my lunch break tomorrow and i can store it in the fridge we have at work.

Evening CAFC haven't been about much the last week or so. Not sure why really just seem to fall of the DFW wagon. Back on tight now though so will be keeping my eye on your diary.

Good for you emailing that bloke it must have been a hard thing for you to do but least it should shut him up for now fingers crossed.

£330  not good. Is that for a quarter? Is really high for just the two of you.

I think its making up for a whole year of estimated readings.
They came and read our meter so obviously we now owe them the short fall, so for the best part of a year, on top of what we have paid so far (about £90) its probably about right. We only have electric, so this is heating, cooker, tv's etc.

We also turn all the plugs off as well at night, and they dont really come back on again till we come home from work, but then its a tv on, light on, laptop on, router, phones etc... all adds up eh?

    Evening All!

Got the ok to take the extra days as holiday for a few weeks and then see where we go from there.

OH is currently looking through a book I bought him (Jamie O's new one) to find some new inspiration for foods he is willing to try.
Also had to convince him on the way home that there was food in the freezer and no we didnt need to go into supermarket.
Admittedly its now getting to the point where Im gna have to start cooking, and defrosting etc and getting some veg in, but thats it. I might pop to asda while he is resting tomorrow after his eye surgery.
    God thats come around quick.

Work was ok, im now off for 2 days.
Small confession though, I did spent £12 today... but hear me out!
One of the guys who works for me, young Christian lad, volunteers for a christian charity full time and works one day a week for me for his spends money, his rent gets paid for him but he needs money for food etc.
Anyway he popped in today as he needed me to fill out a form for his housing allowance, and we got to chatting about work, money and volunteering.
He said it was a struggle but it was teaching him a lot and that God has looked out for him so far, and his parent set him up with some food (he finished uni in the summer), and that he was very lucky being invited to other peoples houses for dinner etc.

Now dont ask me why, but I thought to myself, here is someone who is living on literally next to nothing to help other people and does it all with a smile on his face.
So i went out to tesco and bought a load of food for him. Spent £12 and good god, it buys you a lot when you're just getting value stuff LOL, got him some store cupboard bits, soups, tins, some vegetables, squash and some biscuits etc, pasta, spaghetti, pasta sauce etc. Had 3 massive bags full, was quite impressed.

So I've made him up a box at work, and filled it out with these bits, looks like a harvest box we used to make at school.

And it actually really helped me, gave me a bit of a warm glow if im honest because i know this guy, he will be really touched by the thought, and in my mind, its a small price to pay to thank someone for the work they do for the community, and the restraints it puts on their own lives, which he has never grumble about once.
So yes £12 could have been spent on our personal situation but then again I could have spent £12 on a new dvd/cd/book etc, and felt guilty.... but i wont feel an ounce of guilt on this.

So a warm fuzzy glow from me tonight xx

    Hows everyone else doing?
Bella hun how was OH's interview?
