Cheap Broadband only-Low phone user

Just spent some time looking at the comparison table provided by Tiscali and the £19.99 package looks tempting but the remarks about them have put me off. They have my name and address now so I hope they will not be bothering me with phone calls and mail. I have asked them not to phone.
Will go and have a look at Sky now and try and find the £3.25 that Bill Savings has mentioned.
Although two posters have said avoid Tiscali like the plague they don't say why.0 -

Hi,We are on BT light user scheme and hardly use phone (throw back to when you needed a phone line for dial up and emergency use). For the last two quarters our TOTAL bills have been under £30 per quarter.
I'm also on BT light user, and sometimes I pay more vat than call charges.
Thinking of changing to BB, but enquired before, and can't get BB while on light
user, so it means going onto Unlimited Weekend Package, £10.50/month, so that
puts up the BT bill.
Anyway was thinking of going to Plusnet, option1, £9.99/month, which is cheaper
than the £12.49 I'm paying Tesco just now just for dial up, so it should balance out.0 -

Thats one of the reasons I was looking at this. If BT costs is going to be £10.50 anyway then cost of broadband will be £6.50 per month (after intro period) and I can make free calls at weekend rather than using mobile (yep in cases its cheaper to use mobile rather than lose light user rebate). Plus of sign up before 1 Auguat can get £100 towards cost of first 18 months through Quidco!0
