Childrens Savings Account Freebies

Hi All,
Just thought I'd let you know that the Childrens one day account at ybs.co.uk is actually paying 5.62% gross, as at 28 January 2007. Which isn't too bad.
Have accounts for son at Halifax but they made a complete pigs ear out of them, got them muddled up with my accounts, didn't have sons accounts as tax free etc etc, so although there 10% regular saver account is the best, I'm looking for others due to their appaling customer services.
Will post again on same subject if I find anything else out thats appealing!
Have a nice day!!

With regard to the The Halifax Regular Children's Savings account, can anyone please tell me if I can open an account for my new baby grandson 5weeks old?
Can I do it or does it have to be the parents?
Thanks

you can open one yourself, and his parents can also open up one each if they wish0 -
You can do it - you would need your grandsons birth certificate and name and address verification for yourself0

Hi,
I opened a nationwide account and have not got any money off vouchers, do these arrive in post or ask at branch?
Also what happens when you want to withdraw more than £100...?
Thanks in Advance ;-)the Money Saving Expert team do not moderate forums, so if you see something that shouldnt be here report it! :beer:0 -
it doesn't say on their website when you get the vouchers just that you do.
