I think your attitude says it all, and you are right about the subject not being popular. As you are making yourself the subject.0

ok op I would suggest looking at this page from royal mail http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=70700722&mediaId=77200746
It is a guide to claiming compensation for lost item, although without POP you may have a problem. but if you have to pay back £33 I for one would be happy to spend a few minutes filling out a comp form. all the details are on this page- so good luck but in future I really cannot emphasise the importance of getting a POP or even send the item recorded delivery it only costs a few pence extra and canavoid these situations. I sent a game recently that someone had paid £5 for recorded as I would rather pay 65p extra post than have to refund a scammer!Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."

Hi Guys
I know this may not be popular !
I have sold and sent something to a buyer , my better half sent it from the post office but DIDNT get a POD !
My question is this , the buyer is saying it hasnt turned up , they have 3 other feedback with the same problem ! i think i`m being scammed , what is the worst case scenario if i just refuse a refund ? my instint knows im being done over and im finding it hard to accept...
Daniel
No...what you mean is you were too tight fisted to part with an extra few pence for Recorded Delivery which would have protected you. Now you assume the buyer was trying it on..with absolutely NO PROOF of this whatsoever.
If the buyer had previous feedback which gave you cause for concern then any sensible person would have taken the sensible route and used Recorded Delivery for a few coppers more rather than risk a £33 item by Standard Mail!
Now because 99% of posters are telling you that you should cough up since you have no proof that the seller is anything other than honest ...you're :
1 - trying to get out of doing the decent thing and refunding the buyer and looking to justify yourself with absolutely no factual grounds whatsoever....
2 - Snapping at those who dare to disagree with you.
When you said you might be unpopular you were right...but it's 100% to do with the fact you're a tight fisted blame everyone else ( including your own wife !!!!!! ) miserable git ....but Hey! you already knew that from your OP...:rotfl:if i had known then what i know now0 -
