I love keyboard warriors' posts.
If you actually read the thread (you know, from start to finish) you'll see this rather tedious objection has been discussed before.
I find it quite ironic that you're getting all high and mighty about being a good mystery shopper but your grammar's awful!
Anyway, I'm getting married tomorrow so I have better things to be doing - just a cretin posting on a good friend's thread irritates me something rotten.0 -
I am a new MS and have my first assignment next week, I have read this thread and found the OP useful for things I may need to look out for, for instance, the uniform but no name badge, etc etc,
I will not be copying and pasting, but if I get stuck for words, which doesn't happen often I will be using it to give me ideas.
Plagiarising is wrong, but using someones ideas is not.0 -

I simply do not understand this logic. Exactly how is quoting - that is, cutting and pasting - a phrase like 'we did not have starters', rather than typing from scratch, wrong?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

I didnt even see this thread, so thanks owlet
I have no problems copying these type of quotes, as long as they are accurate to my shop. Its completely different to use a whole paragraph or such, but one line answers, that answer specific questions shouldnt be a problem.
As long as the quote is in line with your shop, then its all good.0 -
I use https://www.phraseexpress.com it allows autotype saving makes filling these in much easier. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

I describe their visable mood, so if they seem grumpy or bored, I write it down.
Same goes if they seem happyAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

The member of staff recommended(.....) for my hay fever, but did not explain clearly why she was recommending this.
The member of staff recommended(.....) for my hay fever, and said that it was one of their best selling brands.

The store felt pleasant and welcoming on entry, however the service from the staff was impersonal and perfunctory as no attempts were made to upsell products or personalise my drink.
There was a good display of teas and coffees behind the counter. Everything looked neat and tidy and welcoming.
The food was well-presented and displays were full. There was a glass dome display with cookies on the counter
The checklist was up to date. The toilet was clean and tidy, whilst not being spotless. Everything was functioning correctly.
There could have been more effort to acknowledge customers on their departure. As we left two baristas were behind the counter, one serving and one cleaning but we were not acknowledged on our departure. Other customers were acknowledged. The barista who was tidying interacted with customers but I saw no evidence of extra selling.0 -
Been a fairly newbie to this MS'ing I have read your brilliant OP and have taken heed from all the comments after! I will be cutting and pasting if I need to and have picked up some good tips on what to look out for as I shop. Big thanks to all you established MS'ers for helping everyone out - much appreciated by me anyway. :T:T:T
