Mystery shopping - useful quotes thread

JM I think for each person that posts/contributes to this (and the other two MSing threads), there will be another 25 people looking at it, so don't disappear, it's just people find it hard to thank you sometimes but have no problem using the helpful info
Keep up the good work JM!:T :T
Interestingly (or not!), my post above seems to be right - at present there are 553 hits on this thread and only 21 posts - that's 26.3 views for every post.
This thread is already very useful!
On the "MSing companies identifying us" thing, I don't think it matters even if they know we use standard phrases - as long as the phrases are relevant and you don't use the same ones for different branches of the same company, there's no reason why using these is a bad thing!0 -
Sorry, I didn't mean that we should not have this thread - I think it is a great idea. I meant that putting a list of comments used in a report all in one message just after submitting the report probably was not such a good idea. I edited my post to remove the comments after jobbingmusician had added them to the first post.
I would agree that it would be more useful to have them sorted by interaction/question type rather than job type.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -
I am happy to rearrange into interaction type when I have time (probably not before Thur/Fri) as people obviously find this more useful, and I take the (slightly over-cautious) point of confidentiality. Better safe than sorry, I agree.
I am less happy about the 553 hits and only 21 posts, as I think this site is about sharing, not about simply nicking other people's work!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
As I said earlier I think that interaction type headings (Opening contact, surrounding cleanliness, closing remarks etc) would be a more logical structure.
.
OK, that's a great start to the headings I need to put. Anyone want to add any more? So far we have got
Opening contact
surrounding cleanliness,
closing remarks
To which I would add 'toilets' and 'stock levels' and 'telephone manner'. Any other suggestions?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Absolutely - would be nice if this improved but for now, there are 20-50 people who do post and help out so it's not all bad news.
The other threads are worse on checking:
The main thread: 40,448 views, 1444 posts = 28.01 views per post
The alerts thread: 49,175 views, 596 posts = 82.51 views per post :eek:0 -

Great stats! (Not that we can tell you're an accountant or anything...:rotfl:)
Actually, that is quite motivating. I'd expect the alerts thread to be a high ratio, as people can only post work that exists, so cheer up!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
JM
You have a PM0 -
Thanks to Blindman, who has re-jigged the order of quotes.
New list posted at the beginning of this thread - keep the quotes coming! (If you PM them, any mystery shopping companies will not know who contributed them, for those of you who are worried about MS companies linking quotes with your usernames.)
I am happy to say that I did 6 phone calls for a company earlier this week. I used my normal practice of keeping everything in a Word file, cutting and pasting, and A LOT of the text was exactly the same from report to report - although I did make sure that I wrote useful comments about anything that was unusual about any of the calls. I have now received my scoring, and scored over 80% for the LOWEST score of the 6. Clearly, this company accepts the re-use of useful phrases.Ex board guide. How about a section about the queue? things like "There were x people in front of me" "there were three tills open and one out of order" "I waited for x minutes". I will PM you JM in a min for some more to add to the other lists!0
