I've bought a number of top brand memory cards from Amazon Marketplace and all were counterfeit, the problem seems almost as bad as Ebay.
Personally i won't use either for memory cards now. 7dayshop sells genuine cards at exceptinally good prices (and the less trendy names such as the very reliable Kingston are often huge bargains)0 -

Don't forget with SDHC cards you also have the Speed Class to look at as a Class 6 might be a £1 more than a Class 2, but I would get the more expensive one (within reason!) for the same capacity, as the transfer rate is faster and this is needs for HD video etc.0 -

Quite agree, I was just highlighting the top line deals. As you can see from the above prices, 7dayshop and play.com should be the first port of call when memory card shopping at the moment.0 -

Yes Kingston would work, if you are using it for video storage I would recommend getting something larger than 2Gb.
MyMemory have a good deal on a class 6 (the fastest) 8gb card for only £9.99 with free delivery:

Guys any idea approximately how long 7dayshop take to deliver?
I have ordered a CompactFlash card from them for £6 with free delivery.
I am a little confused as they offer discounts for purchasing more than one CF card, however it also states on the page that if your order is under £18 you will not be charged VAT on the purchase - they are in Guernsey.
I take it that this means I am technically "importing" the CompactFlash card?
I would actually like to buy a few but it doesn't really seem like it would make sense to, for example if I buy 3 cards it makes a tad cheaper and therefore just under £18 so no VAT, but if I was to buy 4 cards it would then be over £18 in total and I'd have to pay 15% VAT? - this would actually make them more expensive than purchasing them singly!
Your thoughts please?
Incidentally, I also purchased one of these CF cards from eBay, and it arrived from.. surprise surprise - Guernsey! When I asked the seller about buying more than one, they wanted to ship them from Hong Kong?0 -
I believe that there is no VAT on imports of under £18 in value, if you go over you pay the VAT. So you could just place 4 seperate orders to get round it (?)
Delivery from 7dayshop is usually 3-4 days I have found.
The majority of the big memory car sellers are Jersey/Guernsey based.0
