I use a site called dumdedum.co.uk - very reliable and fast. I know that they supply 100% genuine SanDisk cards - a claim not too many suppliers can make. The market, in particular Ebay, is flooded with counterfeit cards.0

Generally it's much more important to get cards which are rated fast enough for the device you want to use them in. The brand means less, since there are so many re-badged versions of the same cards.
The exception to this rule is with the Sandisk Extreme 3 cards, which are in a league of their own when it comes to durability.
In actual fact they are probably "2nds"-cards that have just failed to meet all the high testing standards of the manufacturing company.
To be as sure as one can be of reliability, I would stick to respected names like Sandisk, Crucial, and Kingston.
It is not always the wisest move to buy the biggest card your camera will handle-a twin pack of a lower capacity is not only cheaper- for example 2X2GB instead of a 4GB- but a great failsafe if a card should fail.
Sod's Law determines that if a card is going to fail, it will do so during an important shoot like a wedding,or miles from anywhere, or in a place where a replacement-if it can be found at all-will cost an arm and a leg.
Cards should be formatted and tested on arrival-you do not want to be formatting cards in the middle of a shoot if the batteries are on the way out with no replacement(s) or finding the card is faulty.
On a similar note, don't use your camera to upload your images to a computer-get a USB device that will hold the card and save battery. I have 2 bought from a pound store that work well-just make sure they have "USB 2" on the unit or the packaging-"USB 1" devices mean a slow download from the card.0 -

What do people think of this? Its for my PSP, magicgate enabled and at least its not pretending to be a sony, its just unbranded.0
