Just got my letter today and my renewal is on 8/1/10 so I am very unhappy. Currently I am only paying £24 a month for the insurance and multi-club membership so the increase is going to be huge0

Just had a letter from Pru as I am PruProtec customer and it says its now extending its pricing on existing membership to 31st oct 2010.
That means free gym for another year.
Looks like they have backtracked.
Only issue I see is they will then go to 20% and not 25% deduction then on gym fees.
Unless people power makes them change there ways again.

Until the actual renewel comes, we do not know exactly what anyone will be paying and how much worse they are off, so it would be interesting to see what they quote you for your renewal.0 -

It affects Pru Health customers too.0 -
I've sent a rather strongly worded email to PruHealth basically telling them to expect less policyholders to renew next year. I also told them I didn't think there would be anything to distinguish them from other health insurance providers when the changes come into effect.
I doubt whether it will make a huge amount of difference but its worth a go I suppose! Hopefully other disgruntled members will be doing the same.0 -
I am also sending a strongly worded letter to pru health complaining about the massive hike. I calculate my Nuffield gym membership (top tier) will climb from current £25 pm to ~£65-70 from next Oct. With the hike in health insurance from current £5.68 pm to ~£30-40, it's not worth it at all.0

I will also be doing a letter. The fact they have backtracked by another year on loosing gym membership means they must be realising theyt are going to loose a shed load of customers. Atleast now, its going to give them a year to work out what to do and it would not suprise me if they changed it again. Personally, if they discounted gym membership by 50% would mean I would stay.
