Does anyone know if i would still be able to claim on having a baby in April and in wont affect me cancelling?
I thought pregnancy was not covered anyway? (Unless there's complications).

    Talking about the

Childbirth cash benefit £100 per child
    3.8 Childbirth cash benefit
This is payable on the birth of a child to
a Member. In order to claim the benefit
    the Member must provide PruHealth
with a copy of the birth certificate and
request the payment of benefit within
    six months of the birth.

One last question on this matter.
Me and my partner have seperate polices presumably we will be both be able to claim for our child?

Now there's a thought - I wasn't going to claim as I didn't want to lose my no claims discount and my very substantial savings at the gym, but if that's now going to go.... maybe I should be considering it.

I'm having twins - can I claim twice?!

If I do claim, will I still get my 25% gym discount?

    It's all quite confusing
  • Hi, Im trying to find out if its worth joining PruHealth to get some virgin active gym benefits. Iv checked the website but its not so clear. Dont worry I am aware that they pulled their brilliant deal.
  • I know no-ones posted in here for ages but I found this deal on this site and will be good ending it with here too :)

Ive only just got my renewal details through my policy changes next month I had a bit longer on the old deal for the gym. Im defo cancelling with Pru

They are also changing the renewal reward for new policies and when they renew in 2011, it use to be 25, 50, 75 and 100% for platinum members off last years premium.

The new renewal reward is none, 1 months, 2 months and 3 months premiums off as a cashback or to offset future premiums, the premium wiill end up being far too high for insurance I dont really want and not sure if I need it.

There's some other changes in there about vitality but its two changes too many Im out with everyone else, wonder if they have many left at the end of it lol

Will sign up directly when I can get a no joining fee at my gym ;)

My renewal is next month, I will be renewing for another year, but will be quitting gym. I don't know what I'll do next year though.

This is what I'm doing too, I managed to get to platinum and maintain my status - the renewal for this year cost me £30 for the year so I can't complain. But yes, I'll be cutting the gym any day now. And we shall see what I can negotiate with them for next year, if I'll try to negotiate with the gym for a cheap fee to keep me as a member, or if I just cut and run.

My theory: if I use the advantages of eurostar and fitness assessments then for £30, I can't complain...

It was good while it lasted, and maybe in the next 6 months, Pru will change their terms again, now that so many have left and their books are almost empty, and that I won't have to cancel in 12 months time. Stranger things have happened.........
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
