I'm worried about when I finally have to deal with that call now. Hoping that like my friend I just get a letter asking details as I have no assets and dont work. My depression makes me nervous enough without having to deal with phone calls. I go into a panic attack, trying to shop in town.

Please try not to worry too much, that was just my phone call, majority of phone calls on here seem to be fine and straightforward. I do understand, I have mild depression and get panic attacks, and I was just thrown at being asked things about my remortgaging several times which I didn't think would come into it, so I got into a fluster.

Summer sorry to hear you had an a*** of an OR....I lost my firm back in December & had a similar guy deal with me...most of the OR's are usually decent but there always seems to be the odd one or two that like to flex their muscles! its all over now though for you & hopefully once the OR has what he wants that'll be the last you hear....I wouldnt worry my OR demanded all sorts of paperwork..I couldnt provide half the stuff he asked for so he had to get it himself!!

Getmeout....he'll probably not mind me saying this (if he does tough!) my little brother philnicandamy used to post here a while ago went BR back in March last year & he suffered with various medical conditions along with severe depression..he had a face to face interview with the OR & everything worked out fine, the OR understood what'd happened to him & gave him chance to talk..no assetts simple case & he received an early discharge in Nov last year....I think the biggest problem is people seem to be scared of the mention of Official Receiver.....dont be at the end of the day they are only a person like me & you doing a job dealing with people like you day in day out...

Hey Summer, it is a scary time, and it's not surprising that you faffed things up. Write a letter explaining what happened, and they will understand. They do realise how scary this whole thing is, and that we sometimes do or say daft things when we are scared :grouphug:

    Oh I see.;)

Blimey they don't waste any time, bloke just rang up about my car. :( He said I can ring him Monday and tell him if I know anyone that wants to buy it or he will take it. Don't want to ask my sis really, but may have to, I don't want to be without a car and don't know how long it will be before we can put some money aside for another one. Don't want to owe her money though, wanted a fresh start. Oh well!

No, not working but did put on my form and said to the OR it was a lifeline to me with my depression etc...and its only worth £400. :(

REALLY wasn't my day today!

Had a quick chat with OH about it, going to talk about it again tonight, but I think we are just going to let it go. I do not want to be in debt to anyone again, especially my sister, its supposed to be a fresh start for me and OH and we want to start as we mean to go on and if that means I do a lot more walking, then so be it. OH gets the train to work so it doesn't affect him. Be good exercise and save us quite a bit of money as well on the upkeep of the car. And then in time, we will get a cheapy one again. Yep, thats decided, feel ok about it. :)

Th reason i asked is you could appeal. There seems to be quite a few on here that have had their cars taken, appealed and got the ruling changed. I think your OR is being petty. Could you not say DH needs it to take you shopping, hosp, ect and fight your corner stressing it's only worth £400.At the end of the day it's up to you summer.D
