You say you drive for a living - do you have a PSV or HGV licence? If so, you must stop driving and contract the DVLA. If you haven't got a PSV or HGV, then you must inform your insurance company, although there is usually no restriction for driving your own car unless pains occur at rest, with emotion or while driving. But, you must inform your insurance company if you have angina. People with PCV or HGV licenses who have angina must stop driving and contact the DVLA.

You really must check this out with your doctors.

assuming the worst (i.e i had to give up driving (my work)) due to any part of my condition then i wouldnt be claiming JSA would i, cos i wouldnt be fit for work anyway, and where i live theres no public transport, wouldnt it be an automatic "pass" for DLA or whatever its called nowadays?

No. Not being able to drive doesn't make you unfit for work. How do you think those who can't / don't drive by choice manage?

maybe by not having driving as thier life-long career choice id guess?

if i had my licence revoked on medical grounds which can be confirmed through the NHS, and the same symptoms are proven at a medical assesment id say "yes".....

It doesn't stop you from working though. My dad had his licence revoked for almost 2 years - he still worked.

whilst unfit? but was he employed as a driver?

    wouldnt his employers HR/H&S/Insurers object?

if im ill im ill, i wouldnt employ someone who is ill, my doctor told me to avoid stress or tension and if i have an attack to use the spray and diall 999 for an ambulance, cant wait to to come out with that at a job interview
