And if you don't pay for the extra photos you're a nasty shoplifter/bankrobber taking away money from the virtually skint billionaires at ebay?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Are you getting mixed up with fencing stolen goods?!
What is illegal about offering to sell an item to another person privately?
OK, so Ebay have asked you not to - but last time I looked it wasn't passed as an actual Law?
I can just imagine it now... The Sale of Goods through Ebay Act 2008

It is dishonest. If someone comes into my business premises and tries to sell something to one of my customers that I have paid money in advertising revenue, etc to get in there then they will be (and have been) thrown out of the building.
It might not be quite theft, but go and set up a fruit and veg stall in a Tesco car park and see what happens, its along the same lines as that.
As for the car park ticket, it depends on the car park, in some cases you can get a bigger fine for using a transferred one than not having one at all!
As for photos on email or listing, you can add any amount of photos by hosting your own (or use photo bucket, etc) whilst the listing is live no matter if it has bids or not..0 -
RFW you need to get real and stop comparing silly non sense making comparisions. You are happy to do it your way.....but dont criticise people for their approach, there is nothing wrong in what they do.0

Last night, I had a phonecall at home from an eBay member who had seen one of my listings, then simply checked my business registration details from my Me Page to get my number to make me an offer.
The deal has netted me around £100 profit for about 2 hours work last night, and eBay/Paypal have not taken a penny off it, although it was their policy that facilitated the sale. I did not prompt for this person to call me, and they offered me a bank transfer as a first choice.
ebay have cost themselves the listing and FVF on a £600 sale because they require me to display my contact details.
In true Gordon Ramsey style. List, wait a while, answer phone, discuss, receive money, package goods, post.
Off ebay sale. Done.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

As it stands I have nothing as such against off Ebay sales, my gripe was against Brooker_Dave whose comment was regarding 'Moneysaving' advice and bypassing rules that can get you permanently suspended from Ebay (and by his admission he has been suspended more than most!). There are plenty of dishonest ways of saving money that we can all give out as advice, I'm of the opinion that sharing them shouldn't be done on this site..0
